I’ve been using this primer for a few years now, and it’s honestly blown everything I’ve ever used out of the water. The quality is superior, and it works just as described, so I believe that justifies the high price tag. It helps reduce redness, prevent oiliness, smooth any texture, and blur my pores. Although it doesn’t completely blur all of my pores, I’d say it covers at least 95% of them. It looks like I have an Instagram filter over my face, which gives the appearance of porcelain skin (hence the Geisha inspiration). I’ve never experienced any cracking, creasing, fading, or smudging. Even after 12+ hours of wear, my makeup remains fresh. Even when it’s a super hot day and I’m sweating, my makeup doesn’t budge. Even when it was pouring buckets outside, my makeup stayed put. This stuff is truly amazing.As for the application, it’s extremely quick and easy. The small spatula it comes with to remove the product is genius. On first contact, this appears to have a slightly thicker consistency than your average primer, but it melts into your skin instantly. I love the silky feel it gives; it adds to the luxury of this primer. I personally use a little more product than the recommended amount, and I like to wait a few minutes before applying my makeup. As for the scent, it’s faint and doesn’t linger. For reference on my skin type, I have dry/normal skin.In terms of the authenticity of ordering this primer on Amazon, I can say with certainty that it’s legit. Tatcha is the seller, so it’s no different than purchasing it from their official brand website or Sephora. The only difference is that you receive it much sooner, and if the timing is right, you can purchase it at a much lower price. I’m currently running low on my Tatcha silk canvas primer, so I bought one on Prime Day for $37 bucks! That’s a $17 dollar difference (talk about a saving!).The packaging came in typical Tatcha fashion. The primer came in a vacuum-sealed bag and was placed in a little drawer-like box with a small disc-shaped spatula. The primer itself came in flawless condition, as it should. The outside packaging looked a tiny bit dingy, but that didn’t bother me. As long as the actual product is intact, that’s all that matters.

I love the fact I noticed a difference in the smoothness of my face! My foundation works great with this product! No overbearing for me but just right!!!!!!!! This is a product I'm going forward with! I Love it! Did I say I love it? This is a repeat of all my TATCHA products! The face mask! My sister told me about these products because I noticed where her skin looks amazing! I get soooooo many complements from using this product line! I'm a person who loves to share great information when I come across it! This is AMAZING!

My favorite primer to use! It literally makes my skin feel like silk and provides a flawless makeup application. I wear Lancôme foundation and this primer works perfectly with it!

Really lovely primer that glides over skin really easily and helps foundation last long. My skin is super oily, but this at least lasts me through an 8-hour work day. A little definitely goes a long way. I tried using the little spatula as instructed to scoop out product (stopping at the marked line), but I still found it to be too much. I literally use a rice grain amount on each portion of my face—forehead, cheek, cheek, nose and chin. I wear spf prior to my primer and I make sure to give my skincare at least 10-15 minutes to absorb into my skin (the longer, the better) before applying this primer. I found that when I didn’t do this and also when I used too much primer, product would pill over my face (kind of like getting lint all over your face). I gently smooth this over my skin and then pat it in to help fill large pores (rubbing too hard will also give you that annoying pilling effect). Both the quality and the amount of product needed during each use actually makes this quite cost-effective.

I love this primer. I have repurchased it several times. It fills in lines and makes my foundation last.

I don’t really see the hype. I mean it’s a poreless primer, but I wouldn’t say it’s any different than the elf poreless primer, but it’s forty more dollars. I wouldn’t buy it again. You’re basically just paying for the name. Plus the amount of product is ridiculous, especially for a $50 price tag.

It really does help hold makeup on. Will buy again
