Dangerous!
This was very easy to use and clean would have given it 5 stars all around if it didn’t break on me and go splash into the hot pot of water. Splashed boiling hot water onto my face, stove, feet and arms. How I managed to not get seriously hurt is beyond me. Will not recommend or buy again.

So Easy
I'm german and back in the days I learned to make Spätzle with a wooden board and a scraper. At some point, after all the burned knuckles over boiling water, i switched to a plastic one with holes in it. Worked just fine but melted over the pot on my gas stove. I needed a better solution. I found this and tried it the other day and OMG, how easy can it be. You simply fill the dough in and slide back and forth. They are not as long as the handmade ones on the wooden board but and more like Knöpfle, but I couldn't care less. The family loves them and I'm back in the Spätzle Business :)

Worked great, but...
Bought this to make spaetzle for my American Legion post's Oktoberfest. Thought the color would help it stand out and make sure I got it back. :)Item arrived on time. Used the recipe on the back of the packaging, scaled up x6, plus some nutmeg. Boiled the water, made the dough, put the dough in, and it worked like a champ.Till it broke. The place where the plastic handle meets the metal grate is the weak spot. It went back together, then fell apart again. Using it for about 40 hoppers of dough, it came apart three times. I'm keeping it, and going to use it at home, for which it should be fine, but if I were to do a big batch again, I'd probably get the all metal version. Overall, it's easy to make the dough, easy to use this maker, and spaetzle is much tastier than pasta. I'd recommend it.

A MUST for spaetzle making!
This is THE most useful tool you can own if you love spaetzle, the German comfort food. And if you've never had spaetzle, you're missing out. It's like a yummy, tasty, puffy buttered egg noodle. I followed the recipe (only eggs, flour, salt, milk) on the back of this tool and it was a tad dry, so I added more milk and it was fine. You want it to be runny enough to fit through the holes. Anyway, I think the thing that took the longest was waiting for the water to boil. I had a large batch of homemade spaetzle in less than 10 minutes. My daughter said it's her new favorite food. My mom was so impressed she had to buy one, too! And the price is sure cheap enough. GET IT!

Essential if you love Spätzle.
This thing gets a lot of use in my home, enough that I'm buying one for a friend so they can enjoy Spätzle even when I'm not there.Pros:Stainless steel is easy to clean, which is amazing with sticky Spätzle batter. The little tab top keep it sitting on the pot is a fantastic feature.Easy to use.Cons:The batter box is kinda worthless. We end up using a soft spatula and get way better results.Handle can come off accidentally, but it's easy to pop back in place.

Perfect spaetzle every time!
I love this thing. Good quality and well constructed. I used to burn my hands forcing the dough through a colander over a pot of boiling water, but this gadget solved that. The accompanying recipe turns out delicious, authentic spaetzle just like my mom and Oma used to make. Minus the steam burns! I highly recommend!

Works great!
I'd been using a spatula and a large metal colander to make spaetzle. I needed to make a triple batch for a large dinner party, and decided to take a chance on this device. It made it trivially easy to process the batter into small pieces in the boiling chicken stock. SO MUCH EASIER and very easy to clean.

Easy to use and works well!
Makes amazing spaetzle for Chicken paprikash! It’s smaller size noodle so sometimes I take a little spoon of dough and dip it into the boiling water to make bigger dumplings alongside these! Love this product!
