Good Product So Far
Got this for my tenant. She says it cools her apartment right down, even though it is just undersized for the volume it is cooling. Quiet too. Installed easily. My only complaint was that it got beat up in transit, box was damaged, and the casing that goes outside took a pretty good hit, so it has a few bends in the metal. Because of this, I almost lowered to 4 stars, but it really is shipper that gets the poor grade here, not the manufacturer. I still don’t know what this is going to do to my electric bill, but it claims to be very efficient. Time will tell.

Great AC unit and cools everything. Good deal. May not be good for light sleepers.
This a great cooling unit and it also looks very nice. It chills the room quickly and the quiet fan is quiet. I think it might be the compressor that makes noise when it hums and vibrates and that is only sound it makes and it can be kind of loud for light sleepers. The remote makes it easy to control from a distance, but the info like temperature or mode might be out of sync when you change settings with the AC buttons instead. The remote display info refreshes after changing anything with the remote. The vent is adjustable. The foam boards and weather strips come included. It works for me and I love it. Had it for a month so far. I thought it was a pretty good deal. I have no information about efficiency, I just wanted an AC unit that didn't cover up all the window and the U shape is good for isolating the condenser outside so it releases the heat more fully outside. I would have preferred that the remote display have a backlight when it is used at night.

Blowing nice COOL air into my garage.
Nice window AC unit. Bought it for my garage. Now on those hot summer days, I can work in my garage without all that discomfort.Easy to install. Works great! Blows out nice COOL air. I couldn’t use the remote because there’s a screw on the back you need to take out to get the batteries in. It is so small I didn’t have a screwdriver that would fit. Oh well. I can press buttons on the unit just as easy as the remote.

You can’t always get what you want..
This AC unit fits so well over the windowsill and provides a clear view of the window without taking up the entire space. However, after a month, we noticed that it doesn’t get as cold as it used to. Additionally, it makes a lot of rattling sounds. Make sure to level it out properly, as we didn’t, and even after leveling it out, it still has a loud motor cranking sound that randomly turns on, even when the unit is off. This might be due to condensation. Unfortunately, you can’t turn off any of the lights, and they are very bright. We had to cover our brand new unit with electrical tape to sleep because the lights lit up our entire bedroom. I reached out to the company, but unfortunately, it was just outside 30 days, and they basically told us that we were out of luck financially.

Works well, but complicated to install
Does a good job cooling and has quite a few setting that come in handy. However, the main selling point of a window unit that sits low and straddles the window sill isn’t as great as it sounds. It’s also much louder than I expected.Yes, it’s nice not having as much of the window blocked by an AC unit, and you definitely don’t have any worries that it’s going to drop out the window. Those are big benefits. But getting the unit into position and having to piece together weatherstripping/foam board to block window openings was a real headache. The unit also weighs much more than a typical window unit and is harder to navigate since you have to lift over the sill and then drop it down. You also need a big window because you need enough clearance to negotiate the unit through and then down.If low profile and having the AC securely fastened around the sill are priorities, this is a good unit. But for the hassle it took to install, I will go with a regular in-window unit in the future. Also, make sure you measure before you buy. I have what I think is a normal-depth window sill, and the unit barely fit around it.

Cool & quiet
Arrived 3 days earlier than was told. Box and packing not damaged but product was! This tells me it was packaged damaged! Big dent on outside, won't see it but should of been inspected by quality. Overall happy with it, easy to install and you only hear the sound of a fan blowing. It can accommodate a very thick wall, the adjustments come out very far for thinner walls. I bought a bigger BTU than needed, was using a 5,000 BTU and they quit after 5 years, went through 3 of them already, looking to see how long this one will last.

Quiet and attractive.
This has been working fine. I thought the timer would stay activated but it turns out you have to reset it daily. Pretty quiet though and I love how I can see the yard. Good value. Hard to get a window for above it though. It’s a tall horizontal window.

Give it a spin, you might get lucky.
First, they will tell you to make sure it's level in both directions. They're not kidding. But use a reliable 2' or 4' level, not the little vial they provide. The unit is well designed, the constituent parts are adequate to robust in quality. It cools the space very well, and it could be a quiet unit if you're lucky. Mine isn't.The problem seems to be with transporting it; I think they drop kick them into the delivery truck. Mine came pre-dented and the fan was noisy. I took the front off of it and discovered it was a pretty decent squirrel-cage evidently cast from pot-metal, but It had a broken fin. If I could get a replacement part I might go to the trouble of switching it out.. In the mean time, releveling the unit has helped. There are probably a few good units out there, and were you to get one, I think you'd find them to be what the seller claims they are. How lucky do you feel?
