Works brilliantly. I purchased this on 31st of May 2015 and charged it up as per the instructions. It's then been sitting in various boots until I first needed in in the autumn last year. I have since used it to start my Aston Martin V8 vantage at least four times and my 1957 MGA the same. Still got lots of juice left. Minor irritation is the shortness of cables to get to the awkward battery positions on both the V8 and MGA but that's really a first world problem. It does what it says on the tin and keeps the AA away.

Plenty of power
Got this as I was having battery troubles on my 1.7 Diesel Astra, never got a chance to use it as the garage changed the battery the very day I received this, since then I've had chance too use it on a 2.0 Megane and it turned the engine over as well as the normal battery should do, car started straight away and the booster was hardly drained at all very impressed by its capacity but slightly bothered that it doesn't have an isolator switch...

Not sure about this product
Purchaed this item assuming it was a genuine SIP product, however, when it was opened it did not have the 1600 model number on it and the 'very poor' instruction sheet (obviously Chinesse translated) said it was only 360amp starting power! The SIP 1600 is supposed to have 700ampo crank rate - the unit suppied 'DOES NOT'Will be contacting 'Trading Standards' about this.[...]

Worked a treat. Would have been 5 stars but for contradictory/unclear documentation, and the wierd LED display (amber, red, red, red, green LEDs in that order) next to the 'TEST' button.

Battery failure
Battery failed after 18 months of light use. Worked well before that. Had to call out the AA, who recommend Powerstart PS700 which they have on their patrol vehicles, and which I have bought as a replacement.

Contradictory and unclear instructions
Instructions and paperwork give misleading advice. Use of LED's needs to be clarified. Some red, some green, but no notes on what these mean. Unclear whether unit is charged or not. Supplier helped to clear this up but paperwork with product is very misleading. The paperwork is bad and needs to be rewritten.I have not yet used the product, so will add more info later. However, it seems well-made and hopefully will do the job. Note that it does not include a tyre compressor - I thought it did but there is nothing in the product description to say it does. Leads are quite short, so location may be a problem when jump starting.

Needed this as a precaution/necessity to start 3 cars after an months holiday abroad. Worked like a charm and very impressed as it was powerful enough to turn over all the vehicles including a 3.5 litre Nissan. Great for portable power when checking tyre pressures also.Would definitely recommend and its a nice addition to have in the garage.

So far it's been excellent. Holds its charge very well and hasn't struggled ...
Read all the reviews very carefully before I purchased this.We are a motor company that has to have reliable kit that does the job properly. We had an equivalent snap on item (1700 amp) that lasted for 2 years and cost 3 times what this did.So far it's been excellent.Holds its charge very well and hasn't struggled to start anything.I would recommend it and we will purchase another one.
