Is it best to use a brush or roller for this type of paint?

I uses the remainder of my paint to do my bedside table after hearing you can thin the paint quite easily with water. So I used either a sponge or a flocked (like velvet) roller and did 3 coats which didn't take long as it dries quickly. The paint went on much smoother once water had been added, the results were better and it was a much more pleasant experience. Rollers all the way!!!

Would this go on internal doors and bannister?

This paint will go on almost any thing but it isn’t particularly durable, and you will probably find it rubs off in Are that are handled a lot such as round the door handles - it’s best used to up cycle furniture and sealed with a transparent polish but even then you need to be prepared for the “shabby chic” look. You would probably be better with an ordinary Matt finish paint for wood.

Why is the Rust-Oleum Anthracite paint blue when i paint my sanded down softwood furniture, and not the same as the nice grey on the tin!?

Anthracites undertone is blue. So it should be a dark grey with. Blue hue
