Q: Can you add a separate amp for the midrange speakers trough the powered sub?

No the power sub does not have out put jacks.

Q: Will this work with the polaris rzr stage 5 kit for 2nd sub

I'm not sure what the rzr stage 5 kit. But I purchased this unit because I did not want to hook into any of my mercedes factory components except a single speaker line. I used the hi-input and wired everything else to powerhouses and it works great. The best thing is, whenever I go in for service, I don't need to worry about warranty issues. It does require 12 volts, but if you have speaker wires to tap into, I think your golden.

Q: How does this amp sound if its not under a seat?

It sounds ok for short bass or like punch bass but rock and or jungle or drum n bass it to long for its a gargling bass but for the price it ok
