I don't know but it works on cloud based network. I haven't tried it in large gatherings.

Cruise .. will this work on cruise ship whilst cruising ? In EU

theoretically it should as it picks up the available wifi systems. However we struggled to get it work at all in France or back in the Uk so -I really couldn't recommend it
