Yes. We used it on chicken we baked in the oven, and on a pork roast made in a slow cooker.

Q: What are the ingredients to the citrus black pepper rub?

Cane sugar, salt, spices (including black pepper), Orange peel, lemon peel, paprika, onion, citric acid, chili pepper, sunflower oil, & natural flavor.

Q: After using this rub for chicken, should I slather the chicken with oil before setting on the grill?

I put the oil (actually, I use butter) before the rub. I don't put it on again before I grill. I would think doing that would make the rub come off. I just make sure my grill is clean and I put a little oil on the grill not the food. I do the same with my Ribs.
