These are beautiful, and sturdy. Elevated my dining room look. I never put them away. Just keep in mind they are mainly decorative, I put a simple vinyl placemat underneath to protect the table from fluid and food falling through. They do provide excellent heat protection though. Highly recommend.

They are made of thick bamboo (looks like pieces of wood) in a warm mid-brown color. Very handsome! They hold plates well off the table surface.
