A must in Florida's 98% humidity
I'm in marine construction and am in constant high humidity. Most of the time on a aluminum work barge which is like working on a piece of tinfoil, getting sun from the sky and reflecting up from under me. I've been doing this for 30 years and this vest is by far one of the best things I've ever bought. It doesnt limit movement but if bending over a lot it's a little uncomfortable but considering how good I feel with it on it's a no brainer. I am able to wear it with a tool pouch with no problem. I would recommend buying 1 or 2 extra bladders to keep in a cooler. I freeze them solid and swap them out as needed. Usually every couple hours. The battery so far lasts me all day. I haven't used it over 6 hours continuously but always has 2 lights left at the end of the day. If you are even considering buying one you might as well go ahead and do it. My coworkers sometimes hop in the water because of the heat, I feel fine. Also wear it mowing 10 acres once a week. I don't hardly sweat at all. Its awesome.

It works but has many issues that are of concern
This system works fairly well, however the durability is of the water bladders is very low. It is made from very thin material that develops holes very easily. I asked the seller how to repair the bladders and they said they can't be repaired and that you have to buy a new one which currently costs $40.Another issue is the vest. The adjustment straps do not stay where you put them and are constantly loosening on their own. This is very frustrating and reduces the effectiveness of the vest. Another issue with the vest is that the cold water enters on one side and can be too cold since it is ice cold water. So, one half of you is too cold and the other half is still warm until you let enough water circulate. This can make the whole vest too cold since it is ice cold water and can cause problems with skin and muscles. Because of this I just run it for a few seconds at a time to keep a decent temperature. On the positive side, the customer service was very good after I bought the vest last year. I ordered a m/l vest which was way to loose on me. 6'2" 180 lbs... I contacted them to see if I could exchange it for the xs/s and they promptly sent one to me and told me to keep the medium large vest which goes unused because it was too loose. The xs/s fits tight and works effectively to transfer the heat/cold energy. The bladder developed a leak right away and they promptly sent me a new one.So, great customer service, not so great design.Another positive is that the battery and pump are effective even if it is loud and vibrates a lot. You will get looks if you have it going around others. I did a test and using the battery as needed to pump the water it lasted for about 5 working days. The water bladder frozen solid and then melted just enough to get the lines connected last about 4 hours for me just running it as needed which is for about 5 to 30 seconds to get fresh cool water in the vest then turning it off until the water warms up again. So, improvements that could be made are:More durable water bladderAdjustable vest that stays at the desired adjustmentTemperature controlQuiter, non-vibrating pump

It works--through no fault of the manufacturer.
This seemed like a cheaper option than fixing the AC in my car, and could be used elsewhere, too. Great idea, in theory. In execution...When it showed up, it didn't work. The pump just didn't function. I dismantled the pump, looking for something that could be jamming it, but found nothing. When I put it back together, it ran! dismantling the pump was NOT easy, and not something I'd want to put the average consumer through. The backpack is kind of trash. The straps are pretty chinzy and the zipper has a bad habit of splitting open. The battery is not even remotely watertight and failed due to water incursion. Why wouldn't you make somewhat water-resistant electronics for your water-based item? I replaced the battery with a waterproof one using a 8.4v voltage regulator. The quick-release connectors on the bladder can't be operated when it's frozen. Hard to see how this could be avoided, but it's still annoying.Despite all that, it works (though again, it didn't when I got it). And it works pretty well! It is indeed a better solution than fixing my AC would have been, but...dang. This company needs to improve their design and manufacturing.A note about sizing:I'm 5'11", 180lbs and have a 40" chest. I bought the L/XL size and found it too large. the straps on the sides kept coming loose, and even at their tightest weren't really tight enough. This is not good, since the cooling loops in the vest need to be tight against you to do their job. If you're looking to buy this, err on the size of a snug fit!

Not happy with the cooling vest.
A little upset I bought this thing and used it for about a week it already started ripping and the thread was starting to come undone. One thing I was a little upset about was it stained my t-shirts. I know it sounds weird but the condensation that it made on the wet vest made my t-shirts have loops of purple lines. The backpack is a bit heavy after a while especially once it starts to warm up it gets very hot quickly. I live in Florida the thing was a great idea it works for about an hour after that it starts to become warmer and warmer until you're just sweating. It's not the easiest thing to move around in. Bending up and down starts to get very tiring. it's about 5 lb of extra weight on you it doesn't seem like it's a lot but when it's hot you start to sweat it just feels uncomfortable after a while. If this thing was maybe a little bit cheaper like half the price maybe it might be a good investment. It just doesn't feel like the best materials and like I mentioned already it started to rip. I really did want this thing to work I thought it was a great idea to be able to have yourself cool down while you're working outside. This thing just did not work for me. I started to find myself just drenching my shirt with water and putting it on and doing that every hour instead of having to go buy ice and fill the bladder up.
