I bought this as a replacement for my old Bionaire purifier which was over 10 years old and I'm very pleased indeed with this new Levoit one. I react to many things in the environment including dust, pollution, pet dander, smoke, chemicals and fumes in the air and this unit covers all those for a really great price. You can buy different types of filter according to your needs, so it's very flexible. I was used to a very loud noise from my old purifier and this one has three levels of "white noise" which I find relaxing when sleeping. You can turn off the lights at night and the air purifying coverage is enough to cover my large loft bedroom without spending several hundred pounds as I thought I might have to. I detected a faint "cardboard" smell during the first 24 hours but otherwise nothing of note (and I am extremely sensitive to smells). Changing the filters is going to be much easier and quicker than my old unit and they last much longer (6-8 months) so will be more economical as well. The detailed manual is very clear and thorough and even mentions EMF, which is very helpful for those of us who are sensitive to it. The unit even looks elegant! I couldn't be more pleased with this and highly recommend it.

I primarily purchased this air purifier because I have allergies where my symptoms include and not limited to non stop runny nose and slightly inflamed eyes during the warmer months. So, after much consideration and reviews being written, I finally purchased a Levoit air purifier. After months of non stop use, I can honestly say that this air purifier has been incredibly helpful in alleviating my allergy symptoms; not that it has completely disappeared but I can breathe better and I, thankfully, did not suffer from inflamed eyes this year. When I say breathe better, it's more that I don't have a constant runny nose; since I do exercise outside I do get my allergy symptoms back again but not to such a severe degree that I need to take antihistamines. I definitely notice a significant change.In terms of cost, I considered a few things which are initial cost of the product, electricity bill and replacement filter. Initial cost of the product is not too bad, it is not the cheapest air purifier but also not the most expensive one; considering the durability and function of the product - initial cost is okay overall. My electricity bill also did not change considering that it is on all the time on high and I have been using it for a good few months now. Lastly, cost of replacement filter, I have not purchased a replacement filter yet but price is generally affordable in comparison to other filters in the market. I have taken into account of cleaning my air purifier every two weeks so it functions well and the filter lasts longer as per instructions.Now, the last thing I want to mention is the noise. Personally, I am the type of person who can sleep through anything so I don't notice the noise all that much even at the highest level. To be honest, I feel more comfortable having background noise since it just lulls me to sleep. However, for a light sleeper, highest level when going to sleep maybe a tad bit too noisy. I would recommend either level 1(sleep mode) or level 2 when running the air purifier during the night.Hopefully, my review helps anyone thinking of purchasing this.

Definitely a journey to a better sleeping! Wont tell you that this device magically cured my dust allergy but after few weeks i dont cough as much for sure and breathing comes much easier with closed windows. Device is not too big and fairly quiet on standard mode (could use it as a sleeping sound).

I have more than a few air purifiers situated in different rooms around my home but the Lĕvoit air purifier core 300 has to be my favourite and here's the reasons why: its simple to setup and easy to use with a LED touch button display.Its robust but durable yet quite lightweight only weighing 3.4 kg making it easy to move around your home.Its quiet with noise levels between 24-48 decibels making it quieter than the sound of breathing at a 1 metre distance when on the sleep mode function and another plus is that you can also turn off the light display while on. I find it hard to sleep with noise & the smallest amounts of light keep me awake but I sleep like a baby thanks to the clever features for people who are noise & light sensitive like myself. I have two allergy sufferers in my home and a pet dog not to mention a husband who is a carpenter and brings saw dust and other dirt & dust particles into the home on his work clothes. The purifier has really made a big difference to our lives by trapping particles like dust,hair,fibres and pet hair and filtering the air we breathe in around the home and works in room sizes of upto 40 m². The hepa 3-stage filter lasts between 6-8 months before needing to be replaced and you don't have to worry about remembering to replace the filter as the filter icon on the led display will light up to indicate it needs replacing.I would recommend taking the filter out and cleaning with a soft brush or vacuum hose every 3-4 weeks,I use a soft brush rather than my vacuum as it has a quite powerful suction. The Led display has a fan speed button & fan speed settings 1-3 ,Sleep mode button ,Timer button and 4 timer settings 2h,4h,6h,8h aswell as display lock that you just tap and hold for 3 seconds to lock/unlock display buttons.
