Timberland Messenger Backpack Briefcase Travel Bag, Tan/Brown

I bought this as a gift for my husband to replace his worn-out (broken zipper) Timberland backpack of many years. I really liked that it had side mesh pockets for water bottles because I know he uses those a lot on his current backpack. I also liked that it wasn't huge just like his current one is not. The size is perfect (think average school size backpack). He is very picky about backpacks and he really likes it so far! The front zippered pockets are really cool. The left one is the size of the entire front panel and the right one is smaller, about the zipper to the right edge. I didn't realize that the laptop sleeve makes the backpack "stiff" whether or not there's a laptop in it, but I think I should have bc it makes sense. I may have liked it more without that (I like packs that can be squished down a bit), but he doesn't mind at all and it actually helps support the load on your back by distributing more evenly. There are lots of small organizing pockets in the main compartment. There's also a chest buckle and compression straps. His old pack was used constantly for his hiking, kayaking, and everyday needs and this one looks like it could take heavy use well - time will tell and I'll post an update if anything goes wrong!

delivery was fast, easy to clean, has much storage room and color is nice for a guy, easy to cleani received this product in exchange for an unbiased and honest review, the shipping was fast, and packaged securely in a jewerly box.it is bright, shiny and beautiful, clasp are easy to hook and stay connected, wash with soap and water if dull or dirty looking didnt turn my neck green after day of working out and is made of durable material, can be worn to dress up or down an outfit overall nice quality and price

Bought this for our (just completed) Baltic adventure (Finland, Estonia, Russia). Was the perfect size for one person on a two week trip. Held up well, was easy to drag around trains, planes, and ferry's. We've been happy with previous timberline luggage, and I plan to buy a second one of these. Note that it is a cloth exterior. Very durable but it does pick up marks, especially from airline luggage handling. So if you want something that will remain pristine-looking, this may not be right for you.

i liked it enough i bought a second one. super sturdy, roomy, fits a widescreen laptop if needed with plenty of room - external zippered pocket and one internal zippered pocket. material appears that it would be water resistant at least

This product looks really good, and is reasonably comfortable for a backpack; however, it ripped in a few locations after only a few weeks, and I only use it for a laptop and loose papers. It is also takes considerably longer to open and close compared to a normal backpack. Definitely consider getting the insurance if you decide to buy. Personally, I would not buy it again.

great backpack. Had to buy a second as my daughter wanted mine for school. Large sturdy, great looking, good organization compartments.

The main problem with this bag is with the placement of the handle. Do you see how it's off center? Seems like it should be on the top of the bag. When you hold it from there, the bag doesn't hang right. As a matter of fact, when you hold it from the long shoulder strap, it doesn't hang right either and kind of collapses in the center (yes even with stuff in the bag). The original price is supposedly in the $200's? It wasn't even worth the $49 I paid for it. I sent it back.

Perfect size for carrying on plane, well-made and light so I can carry one change of clothes in case luggage is lost.
