Oh my god it actually fit
This is hilarious. I bought the 8-40 on a lark to see if it would actually fit on my 97 bontrager privateer (a 3x8 drivetrain) and IT ACTUALLY DID.There is a cartoonishly tiny amount of space between the upper jockey wheel on the derailleur and the giant 40 tooth cog. But it isn't touching. IT WORKS.It even SHIFTS to the cog without complaint.I wanted something for that bike that would make it a real commuter beast, since I have a beast of a 25 degree slope hill on my ride home. Now I genuinely think this bike climbs it easier than my 750w ebike. We're talking 1.5 cranks to 1 wheel rotation. It pulls like a FREIGHT TRAIN.Great fun. Great upgrade. Can't speak to reliability yet but it feels just as good as brand new shimano set.

Great budget option cassette
Works great on my commuter bike. Definitely heavier than the OEM Shimano/sram cassette but significantly cheaper. I've only put five or 600 miles on the cassette, but no complaints.

Great cassette for those who don't want to break the bank
Used this cassette paired with a shimano deore clutched 11 spd derailleur and a sram 120 link chain to convert my 2018 Giant Talon 3 from a 3x8 to a 1x11. Fitting it to the bike was easy and the fitment was perfect. Shifts smooth and stays in gear no problem. All in all a great option for anyone looking to do a budget friendly conversion or even just as a replacement.

Can't beat the price!
Like I said you, cant beat the price! Yes, its a bit heavier than the name brand but for what you get it is very a competitive cassette. I have used several of these "discount" cassettes and at times their shifts can be clunky. I believe the spacing is just a smidge different than "standard" however not a big deal as 99% of shifts are like butter. Installation is a breeze; all you need is a cassette removal tool, chain whip, and a bit of derailleur adjustment. Shipping was on time. I have found long-term durability comparable to known brands. Overall, it's a great budget cassette, I wouldn't put one on my S-Works however my Fat-tire needs a refresh and so I will surely be buying again!

Purchase the nine speed it shows me that I have the 8-speed in my inventory for purchases
Waiting for this to show up today I purchased the 9-speed it shows that I purchased the 8-speed so time will tell I know for a fact I hit the nineAnd since it's supposed to be in the day already by 10:00 it's already 10:00 now so since then I'm guessing it might be in about 2:00 or 3:00 or 5:00 tonight and it was supposed to be overnight next day which is the next day but it was supposed to be by 10:00 a.m. and it's a minute after already

The Small Cog Doesn't Engage The Lockring Effectively
This could be a better cassette. It is light and feels a bit more flimsy than my Box or Shimano cassettes, but the biggest issue is the small cog: It simply does not lock to the lock nut/lock ring as it should. The lock nut does thread on and holds the cassette on, but the small cog just isn't scored properly to retain the ring.Regards,Josh SmithSmith-Sights.com

The 10 speed 11/46 works
The 10 speed 10/46 works well and no problem shifting on my shimano deor 6000 sgs . Did not need the derailleur extender adapter . I see no difference in shifting from my replaced Shimano 10 speed 10/42 cassette except the chain drops backpedaling in the 11/46 and 11/42 cog but for me that doesnt matter much . I have had the cassette for over a month and maybe 150 miles . I went from a 30 tooth chain ring to 28 coupled with the 46 tooth cog gets me difficult climb ability close or the same as the 12 speeds but at a far less price if I did the conversion to 12 speed . My bike is a budget hadrtail and installing high end components is not worth it so this was a very good alternative . The 5 stars does not mean its top of the line but very good for a budget bike
