⁷ ĥubs no power
product looks and works great. Was able to use 7 devices at a time, powering off those that wee not in use. Data transfer rates were suffecient, however the hub tends to use energy from the devices as if it were an additional app causesing them to power of with regular use. this happens with phones and speakers.otherwise it worked great on pcs and macs. i was impressed. works great as a port expander, but watch out for total power draw
Everything worked well except for my IR-Remote control to change cable channels. The power surges of the IR-LEDs caused the hub to glitch the power rail to the IR-repeater module. After I moved that module to a different port on my PC the problem went away and all other devices connected to this hub worked as expected.

Does the job, but shoddily
Ports are so shallow that cords barely fit in, and fall out easily with any movement. Not sure about the 3.5 mm power input as there is no documentation. Also not sure that the promise of acting as a surge protector is true, either - when I have a power out cord going to my external optical drive from the hub, all the indicator lights glow blue if the drive is plugged in to the computer usb-out even though the usb out TO the hub is disconnected, so there is some current feedback from the drive to the hub and across all outlets.However, it does work, able to use my trackball, keyboard, drive, and device from it, just have to keep it from wiggling.

Perfect fit for my computer giving me 7 extra usb ports to operate multiple Items.
What I liked most about this product is that it was delivered fast, Had 7 USB Ports, looked nice on my desk and had a nice long cord. What I wasn't happy with is that it over-heated after 5 mins. of the plugin and only 4 out of the 7 USB port were operational. It's lightweight and a good value for the money as long as all 7 ports are useable and not overheating. I had to return mine due to 3 of the ports were dead upon arrival, and when trying to use it by using the 4 ports that did work, it caused overheating and cord covering melting.

Only 4 out of 7 ports work. The dummy 3 ports don't even deliver power.
If you're looking for a true 7 port USB hub, this isn't it. I was hoping I could use the other ports to at least charge some low-current devices, but no luck. As a last resort, I use the dummy slots for parking my most-used USB sticks.

Very helpful!
The hub works wonders for my laptop, and am able to connect my Bluetooth keyboard mouse, and gaming headset. I recommend unplugging it, if you don’t plan to use it to not strain the battery. The switches are also nice to disconnect power to the ports you aren’t using either.
