Great for repelling bugs and not too strong smell!
I have gotten headaches in the past from citronella so I was a little worried when I ordered this. We have now used it in our tiki torch lights a handful of times and it is perfect! Repels bugs- especially mosquitoes and even seems to repel gnats. The smell is very light and it doesn’t give me a headache at all. We have 6 tiki torches that light up around a 18’x20’ area and it is perfect!

Burns "cleaner"
Don't bother with torches to keep bugs away. Doesn't work unless you sit so close to the flame that you burn your eyebrows. For atmosphere these are hard to beat. Especially compared to LED version. But, still, we are playing with fire. This does smoke less.

Burns far cleaner than the regular Tiki BiteFighter torch fuel
This burns far cleaner than the regular Tiki BiteFighter torch oil. The flame is also less energetic. This is a good thing, as it appears that the burn rate might be slower as well. In my opinion, it smells better as well. I like the regular oil and will continue to use it in my yard torches. I have a couple of table lamps and three wall torches mounted on a column on my patio. This will be my go to product for those. This does cost a bit more than the regular oil, but I think it's well worth it for table torches. Yard torches would depend on their location. Mine are far enough into the yard for soot not to be an issue.

Expensive, but seems to work to repel mosquitoes
I have used the regular tiki fluid in the past, but wanted to try using a "cleaner" fuel in our backyard tiki torches this summer so I tried out this option. We need effective mosquito repellant due to the high risk of west nile and EEE in our area, and overall I would say this fuel did the job. I did notice a reduced amount of mosquitos when using the torches, but I think the regular fuel may have done a slightly better job at this. There is also a pretty big price difference that adds up if you buy this version all summer. Overall it works as a torch fuel but I'm not sure the price is worth it, I would stick with the original version.
