DJM Direct40/80 UPVC Telescopic Sleeve Letterplate 10" - White

This letter box has nothing wrong with it and is good value for money, but just a word of warning, although it is telescopic (the width can be adjusted) even at the narrowest it was still far too deep for our door and this ended up causing us a lot of work. We had to cut both the back of both the back and front covers down and then the sockets for the bolts needed to be cut down, however they were not threaded all the way down - so another problem. We eventually sorted it but just be careful with you measuring. I has assumed most front doors would be a pretty standard depth, but I must be so wrong.

It was difficult to find a letterbox that would fit our UPVC door without modification. In this case, only the inner sleeve would fit (not the fault of the letterbox, which, so far as I checked, was manufactured exactly to spec) which was fine.The springs work well, and the finishing is good.The chrome effect looks like a chrome effect, and if you are happy with that, then you will probably be happy with it too. Five stars, since it it seems like good value, and does the job well.

Plastic centre tunnel but don't see that as a problem. The flaps are good look good. Seems well made different screws depending on width of your door. Have not fitted it yet but as it is identical to the one being replaced should be no problem good

Did send a query to company but had no response so decided to order it anyway. My hubs had to trim it slightly on the width of the hole but it fits perfectly and am so glad to have a letterbox to keep wind out and for better security. Being a very difficult size to find was so pleased

Delivery guy managed to snap mine off forcing a phone book through then placed it back on ! Fortunatly this was identical and therefore a straight swap :)

This arrived pretty quickly. Due to the dimensions of my original letterbox being slightly out I had to file some of the aperture to get this to fit but to be fair this was not the products fault just the way my original letterbox had be cut. I did end up taking the locating lugs out of the new letterbox as I didn't really want to drill any more holes into the upvc door frame and I knew that when I put the two parts together they might not align. Again not the products fault it was all to do with my door. On the whole this item is pretty sturdy and compliments my door very well. The internal brush strip is also very sturdy. Haven't had any mail since installing it so I'm not sure if the postman will have a problem pushing the mail through - especially flimsy items but time will tell. Am very pleased with this item.

Great product. Had to shave an extra 1 mm off the cut out in the existing door recess but not a problem

Bought to replace old gold one, it was easy to install but had to cut the inner part down to size as it was too deep for the door
