52" around the waist. Medium zip pocket fits Note 3 phone & largest pocket will hold a Note 8.0 table and plenty of snacks. Nice and light weight. I didn't spend a lot of money on daypack but wanted cute color & found this in purple. Water bottle pouches will hold plastic retail 16-20 oz bottle. Small pouches on waist straps & main pack will hold ID, money, small cell phone, flash light, cell phones, inhalers, chap stick or keys. Plenty of spots to hang safety lights. Great for a decent walk, bike outing, short beach trip, stroller to the park, or garage sale/flea market shopping. Zippers, fabric, straps, or other hardware all light duty plastic, but I didn't pay for heavy duty product either. Will hold plenty but don't overload too heavy. Plus it arrived pretty fast. I like the fact it fits over both shoulders. Only short coming is I wish it had a strap across the upper chest from the shoulder straps but I will rig something for that. Once again I didn't pay for that feature either. Overall it seems like a good and inexpensive way to keep all your crap handy while walking around on a longer trip than dragging your purse around and staying hands free to chase the grandkids or the dogs. It fits this plus size 24 YiaYia with breathing room, so I am happy. If this works well on playcation next two weeks and I decide to do more hard core hiking than I will get a better quality day pack but for now this will do.

The reason i bought this hip pack was to use it as a diaper bag while "babywearing". I hate feeling trapped by having a baby on my front & my big diaper backpack on my back. Also, a messenger style or purses style diaper bag was cumbersome while wearing a baby on my back. Let's not even talk about it while wearing a toddler on the back & a baby on the front!This hip pack is sufficiently large enough to carry everything I need while on a hike or a while shopping. It can fit 8 cloth diapers in the main compartment with space let over for a small wallet. I usually have 4 cloth diapers, a baby onsie, a pair of shorts for my toddler, a small pack of wipes, & my checkbook length wallet all in the main pocket. The side pockets are great for fruit snacks. middle pocket will fit my phone (LG flex). The front most pocket (vertical zipper) hasn't been used.The down sides to this hip pack are that being a large pack, it slides down my bum, even when tightened extremely tight (i was not using it with the "suspenders" bc they look too silly, but that would probably fix the issue). The side pockets arent big enough for a modern cell phone. The water bottle pockets do fit a decent size bottle, but it is very tough to get them in & out while the pack is on your back. I also wish that they were taller & wider straps to accommodate bigger bottles. The quality of the materials is not the greatest, but I am not disappointed because this is what I expected at this price point.Overall, I am happy with this purchase for the money I spent.
