Q: Does it drip dark stains in the food from below? I know some brand does and that's why I want to replace mine.

It did when I tried it the first time. I washed it with warm water a couple of times and it didn't seem to do it again. This was for Thanksgiving dinner. I've yet to check it again.

fine :0.08inch medium:0.16inch coarse:0.28inch

The exact answer I dont have, probably around 4 cups to the brim, obviously you wouldn't want to fill it that full. But with that said, that mill was thrown away after second use. It added lovely metal shavings to my applesauce.
