It’s a gasket
Slightly cheaper cost than buying locally, but bought with a thermostat for a 1995 3.0L Ford Ranger 4X4. Fit as expected. Not quite sure why there was a star rating option for “adhesion” because there are adhesive properties to this gasket, never has and assuming never will. Purchased it with a Gates 33009S Premium 195 degree thermostat.

Works as it should!
Works great for my 2003 mustang. Buy sealent as it doesn't come with any which is fine, no biggie. Not going outside in the freezing cold to take a pic lol sorry. Thank you!

I always use felpro gaskets.
It worked fine. Disappointed that it didn't have the sealant ring adhered to one side. I guess I bought the wrong p/n. I used permatex water pump rtv with it. No leaks. I have used only felpro gaskets for 35 years.

THERMOSTAT TIP
When replacing thermostat gaskets, use ample RTV and tap the holes and use a die on the bolts. Prepare to use an insert kit. Torque the bolts to prevent leaks. Use a pressure tester from Amazon to locate leaks. Get a leak dye kit to locate other leaks. Get several gaskets in case 1 messes up. Prepare to use a drill and bits. Amazon has a left handed drill bit set with extractors. A ratcheting tap wrench helps.
