It does not come with a strap, but can I accommodate a strap? I cannot tell from the picture.

The new model guitars do not come with a strap and they can't be adjusted to fit a strap, the design was changed to be a little bit smaller so the child can sit with the product in his/her lap.

My little boy is seven. Would he still enjoy this or would it be too small?

I think this might be a little juvenile for a 7year old, but you can tune it like a real guitar and it’s not too hard to play. We bought one for my 2.5yr old so he can “play” with dad. I think you can get a more realistic youth guitar for about the same money...
