Do you recommend wet sanding with a block it when it arrives?

Keep in mind that end grain may not feel as smooth as side grain . I suppose you could sand it, but I've never heard of wet sanding wood. It's a cutting block. Use it.

How many pounds does the 18”x18”x3” black walnut cutting board weigh?

I don't know the exact answer (I've never weighed it) but it is hefty. If I were to guess, it has to be around 20 lbs. I like that because it is stable and won't move when cutting large meats. Truly the best board I have ever had!

Did you receive Boos block cream finish with beeswax with your board? The product description (under maintaining your board) implies that it is included.

A little complimentary packet of the block cream might have come with the block, but I purchased additional beeswax to maintain the block.

Does the cutting board come pre-conditioned with an oiled surface?

Yes. It should be maintained regularly with John Boos Wax and Oil but does come preconditioned.
