Great watch, moving from a touch screen it takes some getting use to buttons etc. But so far it's really good, especially for running

Really good watch. Great battery life, charges fast as well. Really happy I went for 45mm instead of 50mm.

Batter life is great

The media could not be loaded. Firstly the strap is absolutely terrible. For a "rugged" watch, it's like the strap is made from cheese. Within a week the strap had detached from the watch and had fallen off of my wrist. I reattached the strap with the spring compressed pin but it has never been the same since and has fallen off my wrist twice since, whilst doing work outside.However my biggest gripe with this watch is the brightness of the screen, I cannot read the watch face outside. If the sun is shinning on the watch face it is impossible to read. This leads me to believe that my particular watch is defective (see video). I've contacted Garmin support about this weeks ago with video evidence and I'm yet to receive a response.I get the impression Garmin rushed this one to the shelves to capitalise on the instinct brand and I'm furious at myself for upgrading from my perfectly good (and readable in the sun) instinct 1.If you are on the fence about buying the instinct 3 I'd hold fire until they get these problems rectified in the next interaction of the instinct or better yet buy the now discounted instinct 2.
