I read all the instructions twice, but found it fairly intuitive. Most previous in-flight sleep had led to drooling, snoring, and waking each time that my head fell forward. With this wrap, I felt very comfortable; my neck was well supported and did not droop. Thus, I had no drooling, snoring or apneas. I arrived somewhat well rested. The flight abbreviated my sleep to about four hours and landed in a new, earlier time zone. However, the transition would have been so much worse had I experienced NO sleep. I just traveled with this pillow for the first time after purchase from Seattle, WA to Naples, Italy on a redeye. Honestly, one of my best purchases. We were way in economy at the back of the plane, cramped seats like usual. I was able to wrap this and proceed to relax my head and this pillow kept it steady for me. Luckily I had the window seat so I was able to lean against it on their little issued pillow and blanket with the added support of this travel pillow and I slept for basically the entire way. I woke up often to adjust my position, but would be able to fall asleep again, such as it were. My favorite function of this pillow is the support it gives your head and neck, which was nonexistent with my old traditional neck pillow.
