This is a sturdy, well built product. Like I said, I hope my daughter and I never need it, but if we do, I think it will work well. I’m pretty impressed. Definitely hold it, practice with it, get comfortable, plan what you would do if you needed it and keep it handy at all times. Our personal safety is ours to control as best we can and having a solid plan in place is crucial. I also purchased the Saber brand pepper sprays (an excellent brand) and a couple of stunning devices that had good reviews just to keep in the cars, house, purse, etc. My oldest daughter has been assaulted a couple of times since she moved away and so I’ve become hyper aware of personal safety. Why did you pick this product vs others?:As a woman with a security background, every ride share driver and passenger should own one of these. Once you close your fist, you can barely see it. Have it in your hand when sitting in the back seat. If something is off or your're caught off guard, you are ready. I plan to buy more to give away as gifts.

Easy grasp for women, also very comfortable for hubby who has large hands. Helps me to feel safe in isolated areas, when out for a hike, or walking to parked vehicles at night. It's not bulky but is built study, allowing flexibility to carry other items (i.e. car keys, dog leash)! These days, one can never be too safe. I pray I (or any other purchaser) is ever forced to use it but it's good to have in case. Perfect price point. Highly recommend!!!

Heavy, solid, great everyday carry.

This is neither a knife or a multi tool (that I can tell) but it is a hell of a window jabber, or a very sharp, heavy brass single knuckle type thing. In any case I probably won't ever use it. Too much hassle to repackage and return.

I bought this because I’m often walking alone at night to and from my vehicle. As an attack survivor this makes me feel very confident in my ability to defend myself. I will be buying them for my girlfriends as well. It’s sturdy, not too bulky for smaller handed individuals, very sharp, and comfortable to hold. Buy this for your daughters.

I gave it 3 stars because it could still potentially cause significant damage to an attacker. However, quality on this is lacking. Maybe I got a bad one? Also, the shipping time was ridiculously slow.• The plates are held together with allen key fasteners, but they can't be tightened enough to overcome the slight warping in the plates, resulting in gaps in several places. I guess this could be used for DNA retrieval.• There is one allen key supplied, but you'll need another to adjust the fasteners as it requires two for each fastener. The fasteners will fully tighten before the plates are completely pressed together.• The item is a bit smaller than I imagined it would be, but that's not necessarily a problem.• The points on this are fairly sharp, so I would advise against carrying this in a pants pocket. It would almost certainly rip a hole through any fabric. A sheath of some kind would be advisable.Sure, this would be an effective self-defense item (provided the user also has some type of hand-to-hand combat training), but my $10 would have been better spent elsewhere.
