I have been using this skin for several years. I live in a hot country where it almost never gets below 20°C/68°F and it is perfect to allow me to swim year round when temperatures are on the low side. Very hard to find 0.5mm but this is as thin as it gets and it is well-made and very durable. For my purposes, a perfect product.

I miss the 0.5mm which this replaced. This one is neoprene, so very restrictive for being just 1mm in thickness.The biggest issue I have with it is that it's very narrow/slim and very long. I can only fit into a LARGE (I'm medium), but because it is large, it is too long for me and rolls up a bit.

I purchased two of the 0.5 mm Hyperfreak long sleeve tops for fall outdoor swimming in Northern California. The material is soft and it seems durable. The top is well made. It is so flexible that I am not aware that I am wearing it while I am lap swimming in an outdoor pool in cool fall weather. For winter outdoor swimming I recommend the 1.5 mmm Hyperfreak long sleeve top. The 0.5 mm Hyperfreak top is warm enough for cool fall weather, but you will want to try the 1.5 mm top for winter outdoor swimming in Northern California.

I got sent a 1mm, not a 0.5mm.

I followed the advice and ordered one size larger than usual.I am 6'6 tall with a 43" chest and relatively long arms. The XXL wetsuit top fits perfectly!Note that the item is advertised as 0.5mm but the order confirmation states "1mm" and I believe that the neoprene in front and back is about 1mm thick.Overall, it is a great purchase.
