The border of the coin is made of 990 sterling silver. It has a spiral top and sterling silver is soft in texture, which will make it easy for you to install/remove coins. But when it's incorporated into the coin, it's sturdy and protects the edge of the coin, which is very secure. The border color of this coin is very bright and will make your pendant unique. It is made in China and of good quality.

I was online looking for a unique pendant and came across this coin surround. I ordered a walking Liberty silver dollar from the US Mint and installed the surround around it. It looks awesome with a 24 inch rope chain.

Not Solid Sterling in my testing kit.
Product is stamped 925 but in my scratch testing of this product it is not "Solid 925 Sterling Silver" it seems to be plated. It is a nice piece and does fit a silver eagle but not solid 925 silver. Description of product needs updated. I even asked in the Q&A section and the answer is misleading would not recommend product.

It is carefully and beautifully made. But be careful, it only fits 1 oz silver coins with a diameter of 40.3 to 40.6mm. Specifically Australian silver coins.
