SUPREMETECH 24 x 36 x 0.12 Inch Acrylic See-Through Mirror, Scratch Resistant, 40% Transparent

This arrived in a giant box! I was so worried it was going to be broken, but it was very very bubble wrapped inside. It arrived in perfect condition. I made a huge magic mirror for a class project, and it worked out great! It's thick, but yes, you can see through it. I really enjoyed working on this project! Ended up getting a B in the class (aww ysss)! And yes, I know it's expensive. Trust me I did quite a bit of looking around and almost bought something cheap. But I think if you're going to make something for your house that you intend to use daily, or for a gift, spend the money on a quality peice of acrylic. The company even reached out to me to make sure everything was ok when it arrived. Spend the money, it's seriously worth it!Warning!! I suggest working with something a bit smaller though if you don't have the right kind of frame (like me). It tends to bow out, like it's falling out of the frame, but when I have time I plan on fixing the frame so it stays in place. Make sure you have your measurements right!! I'd suggest working with a local framing company if you'd like to put this in a shadow box type of fixture.

Compared the (minimum) $65+ for a 12x12" glass mirror, this plastic one at $15 looked like a reasonable risk for a surveillance project I have in mind. It's probably great for non-critical applications like bird feeders and pet cameras, but it's not going to fool anyone who looks into it as a mirror. I'm sure I'll find some use for it, but it won't be a covert surveillance mirror as I had hoped. Live an learn.

The price is okay, but its also thinner than it was supposed to be. It doesn't even feel like acrylic, it feels like a plastic sheet. It wobbles if you shake it ect. A thicker one may be better for me. That's okay though if that is what you need, I expected it to be more stiff.The worst issue is what I just found out. Mine is in use in an outdoor application and I attemped to clean it off with some glass cleaner and a microfiber towel. It took the semi-transparent coating right off as you can see in the photos. I need to be able to clean it somehow.

I've tried to like this product. I've used it before and you know what? I'm fed up with it. I tried to look past a few problems but they all add up to a Peru bad time. It's too brittle, it arrives warped, they don't send you 12"×12" (all of mine were short about an 1/8th) on both axes. And they don't even make a good effort appling the protective film. On many parts of it I'll have random specs and material I can't clean off without compromising the reflective material. I literally cannot work with it because it acts like a dirty and bent clownhouse mirror.

I used this in an effort to replicate the Pi Magic Mirror that's gotten attention recently. I went with a tablet instead just because it was simpler. What was pleasantly surprising was the ability to still use the touchscreen even with this acrylic on top of it. I'm assuming it's responding to conductivity. Anyway, this is a great product and worked out perfectly for what I wanted it for. Thanks.

I had purchased this a while ago to build a magic mirror, and it worked wonderfully for the first couple months.Last week however, I noticed that the mirror has been permanently scared due to someone touching it with their hand and not immediately polishing/buffing out the mark where the person touched the mirror.I’ve attached pictures of what I’m taking about, it appears as though the residual sweat/grease from when someone touched the mirror has turned black and permanently scared the surface. Try as I may, looks it it’s been absorbed by the acrylic and damaged the reflective surface.Pretty disappointing as it was working great before this and the acrylic version are much more affordable than glass. if I had known this would be an issue in the long run I likely would have gone with a glass two-way mirror instead of acrylic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I imagine if you make sure to keep it super clean it wouldn’t be an issue.

The media could not be loaded.  The 0.040" thickness even though somewhat flexible gave me adequate rigidity for the cost in making the infinity cube prototype. Very pleased with the final results.

Si lo que quieres es hacer un smartmirror de esos que ves en los tutoriales de DIY este funciona perfectamente.

Eigentlich nur für ein privates projekt (smart mirror) bestellt. Ähnliche artikel waren mir zu teuer, weshalb ich es ein paar mal mit diesem probiert habe. 2x hatte der acrylspiegel deutliche kratzer und beim letzten mal hat sich die beschichtung nach dem putzen mit einem mikrofasertuch gelöst! Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!!

Lo specchio di per se non è male, arriva ben protetto ed ha diverse pellicole per proteggerlo al meglio.Il problema sta nel fatto che nel mio, una volta tolte le pellicole, ho notato un piccolo graffietto, molto sottile, così sottile che mi sembrava un capello e nel provare a pulire la superficie con un panno si è rovinata moltissimo, come se è saltata via parte della superficie riflettente... l'ho pulita davvero delicatamente e si è rovinata molto, ecco perché do due stelle.

I didn't actually receive a mirror. I received a piece of plexiglass which you could see through. There was no tint, and there was no mirror paint...just clear. I complained and asked for a return but was given a discount off of the plexiglass that I took because I could use it in a picture frame. I never did receive the mirror.

The mirror is ok for a plastic mirror. Reflection is good, considering it's made from plastic. It had two protective layers, so the surface was not scratched. HOWEVER, all four edges were damaged. Like very damaged. I guess their packaging is not good. I will not recommend.
