Amazing value
While I have a descent pedal board I wanted something for practicing, mostly with headphones. Also I wanted and interface for recording to DAW software. The GP-100 does a great job in all areas, so much so that I have put my pedal board away for a while.I'm not crazy about some of the amp/cab simulations, but there are enough good ones for me. The effects are really good. I've not used the looper (as I have one) and while the tuner is OK I have a better one, though am mostly using Pitch Perfect (free Windows app) now.PC integration is plug and play. If you want to record to a DAW you'll need to download the ASIO4all driver, or you'll get a significant lag on the signal. This only applies to recording though.I love the clean sounds, choruses are nice and it's great to mess with effects that I would never buy, like the Octavers. If you want an overdrive, for instance, there is so much choice. The hardware is incredible quality for the price, though the rocker pedal is too small for practical use. My unit sits on the floor and I use the excellent PC interface for nearly everything. I just needed a long USB cable and headphone extension cable. I send output to both amp and headphones and just plug in headphones or switch on amp.It would be nice to have an on/off switch and some better preset sounds. Volume levels nearly all need adjusting a lot and drum patterns are pretty rubbish, but it's still incredible value.I had a Beringer V-amp 2, 20+ years ago. It was great, but this is so much better and so configurable. For me this unit could do away with the knobs and buttons, as using the PC is much easier. Just keep the display and foot switches.

What a great buy!
I am an amateur guitarist, and have been learning for years. As such, I have tried a great number of effects pedals, both individual and multi effect pedals, with varying degrees of success, but being on quite a strict budget, I have never found a multi effects pedal that I could ever actually recommend, that is until now!In my personal opinion, this one is exceptional!Firstly, given the price paid, it is surprisingly well made, certainly doesn't feel cheap or plasticy.I have found it easy to use and to understand how to navigate through the various menus and sub menus, it is very intuitive, you should not feel overwhelmed when looking at it online!Given it has a built in tuner, a decent looper, an expression pedal, which can be used as a volume control, an array of connection possibilities (headphones/oitput L & R/ USB - PC cable supplied/USB slot/Customizable sound banks/Ability to edit & re-arrange the factory presets/quality patches & cabinet choices/solid build). This unit performs so much better than anything I have ever used, without having to break the bank!I am very happy with my purchase and will certainly be holding on to this unit for the foreseeable.

Well made, great value, but let down by lack of effects flexibility, went for Nux MG-30 in the end
There are many great multi fx units in this price range and all are great value. This is a well made piece of gear, will do well for live performance. Unfortunatley for me, I ran into a limitation very early on when creating a new patch. There are odd limitations to the effects, each slot only has one type and I couldn't have compression and modulation at the same time. I decided to return the unit and have gone with the Nux MG-30 instead. The MG-30 has fewer footswitches and less I/O, but for me the addition of different mic postitions and more flexible effects processing, so it's a trade off. I loved the red finish of the Valeton, both are excellent value for money, both lack a decent pitch shifter that my old J-Station did well. If you can, try before you buy, both have different strengths and weaknesses

Great starter pedal, built like a tank!
As multi effect pedals go, this is an incredible bargain! Whilst the effects aren’t the top of the line, with some time and patience you can get some really great tones out of this, especially when combined with 3rd Party IR’s.The main selling points for me where its flexibility for both bass and guitar, the compact size, array of built in effects, and it’s build quality - I was amazed by all of these, especially for the price. There are a wide array of distortion pedals, effects pedals, amp and cab sims which means you can really get some solid tones once you sit down and take the time to fine tune everything. The preset tones aren’t amazing (as is the case for every multi effects pedal), but there really are some outstanding patches built in, particularly within the realm of cleaner tones. It is so tiny that it can fit in a guitar / bass bag and means you can travel light, perfect for travel; and its full metal body means this thing is built like a tank, and could easily take a beating and the abuse of live and rowdy gigs. The expression pedal is extremely solid and feels like it will last years, and the ways in which you can program it to an array of parameters is really cool, it’s almost as if having a 3rd foot switch if you are tactical about how you set up your presets.Of course this is by no means a top of the line product, but it’s not supposed to be and doesn’t have to be. It is well built, versatile, and affordable. It is perfect for those starting out, looking for something portable, or for use as a backup - I highly recommend Valetone and the GP-100!

Great item.
Not fully acquainted with this effects processor as there is a mountain of special effects that you can tweak and achieve the tone that's just right. Could have bought it a little bit cheaper elsewhere, but Amazon's return policy is second to none just incase it wasn't what I needed, but up.to now all is well. Very well built and looks great.
