This reminds me of the soap my Grandad always had in his house. It's milled soap, so lasts so much longer than these overpriced soaps that are bombarding us on social media. Soap smelled lovely, lasted for a while and I was delighted. Great value, I'll get it again.

Expectations are key, this soap is exactly what you should expect in every possible way and is worth every penny.This is a traditional vegetable based soap, with a great creamy lather that works well used directly on the body, with a body sponge or shower brush. In fact, this is one of the better for lather with a shower brush that I've used. The style of soap is old school in that it's a lightly fragranced soap that leaves a subtle scent for hours. The creamy texture leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft without feeling overly moisturised.Overall, a great soap that smells manly and lasts a long time without being harsh to the skin with regular use.

This is a hard-milled soap that lasts a really long time, so the price is justified. Its fragrance is delicate and delightful and it provides a great lather.

I got another soap as I wanted to switch to a sponge and soap instead of liquid soap for my showering. I like sandalwood so got a couple of these.Of the two, this produces a rich, thick lather with not much soap. The bar is large, so I expect it to last a good long while and it's a curved shape which, surprisingly makes it easier to manipulate in the hand.It is the more expensive of the two and the scent is pretty lacklustre. My old soap had my partner giving me those eyes when she caught a scent, but nothing from this one. There is a scent to the soap, but it's more a light fragrance while you're showering, nothing that really stays with you beyond the rinsing.The thick lather is great, as there's a good feeling that every nook and cranny has been properly serviced after the shower but you're never going to beat the come to bed eyes from a nice scent.
