The Best Source of Omega 3/6 fatty acids in the UK
I have been using Equazen Omega 3/Omega 6 gel capsules every day for around 19 years, I'm now 43. I take a few supplements each day but Omega 3's are the most important, for the eyes, brain, nervous system and skin. You do not have to worry about Omega 9 as long as you eat the UK recommended portions of vegetables every day. When I discovered Equazen's range back in the early 2000s they were the only company that was providing fish oil Omega 3 supplements with added/concentrated fatty acid chains (EPA/DHA/GLA) in the right proportions for a healthy diet. They are certainly the UK/European leader in this field. You would have to eat a huge amount of expensive oily fish to achieve the same results as taking a few of their gel capsules every day. In the crazy times we now live in, overpopulation and pollution have resulted in most oily fish having small concentrations of poisonous heavy metals in them (from our pollution of rivers and oceans). When you eat lots of oily fish, the heavy metals are absorbed by your body and never expelled. They mostly gather in your liver and can cause health complications in later life. Equazen ethically sources their fish oil and filters the heavy metals out. I still occasionally eat salmon as a treat, but I check where it was caught/farmed - the north Atlantic and Scottish coast are safest. After 19 years of taking Equazen Omega 3s/6s, I can honestly say that my skin is less wrinkled and more supple than all of my same-age friends. My nervous system and reaction times are the same, if not better than they were as a teenager. My memory and concentration are also in tip-top shape for my age. I have genetic myopia (extreme short-sightedness), I've had to wear glasses and contacts since the age of 7 and my eyes continue to deteriorate, but the deterioration slowed down massively around 5 years after starting taking Equazen. It's difficult to say if this slow down was natural or affected by Equazen's omega 3 fatty acid chains. I like to think Equazen has helped my eyes too.Equazen has a baby/children range which I also highly recommend: essential to promote eye, brain and nervous system growth. The brain and nervous system stop growth at around 25 years old, but there are still many health benefits to continued usage. I will make sure my children use it their entire lives. There are references to scientific studies on the Equazen website which prove what I am saying here.In terms of taste and dosage. The gel capsules have a thick casing, designed to dissolve once in the stomach. I take them with meals, in the middle of each meal. This way you never taste them and I believe they are better absorbed by your body - I do this with all my supplements. If I take them without food then occasionally I will burp and have a very light, temporary fish oil taste in my mouth, nothing that could make you gag or be sick. If you take them out of the bottle and they get wet, you can still take the capsules immediately. If they are left out of the bottle they will absorb moisture from the air and get soft, but you can still take them. If they get really wet, they will eventually dissolve and make a mess. If I am staying the night with family/friends I put the required capsules in a smaller bottle, or wrap them in a tissue. It doesn't matter what time of day you take them.My personal dosage is:If I haven't taken them for a while, or I was forced to use another brand, I take 6 capsules daily, 3 capsules in 2 different meals. This is the "charging" phase, to build up omega 3 and fatty acid chains in your body. When you start taking omega 3s you always do this, Equazen recommends for 3 months, which I would also recommend if you have never taken omega 3/6 supplements before. After that I take 3 a day in 1 meal, every day. This is slightly different from the 2 a day that Equazen recommends, but it works for me.For teenagers and adults I recommend keeping an eye on the prices and sales of family-size bottles - 180 to 360 capsules. Much better value for money and they keep for years.

Excellent value for money
Excellent value for money, the tub will last me 6 months, and at half the usual price.Tub is sealed and dated December 2022 so bags of use by room.Equazen are excellent quality omega 3, they have higher concentrations of the two key ingredients you should look for (DHA& EPA). Cheaper have larger amounts of fish oil and less actual omega 3. I have certainly noticed an improvement in my concentration levels and feel generally healthier. My son who has ADHD takes the children’s version and the improvement in him is massive.Don’t buy cheap, buy these.

Excellent results and value for money
My son who has high functioning autism/ADHD has been taking these for a couple of months now (6 tablets a day). We have just started to see the results and it has been well worth the wait! He has calmed down considerably and behaviour and focus/concentration has really improved. We have just received some really positive feedback from school also as prior to this his behaviour had been really problematic. I thoroughly recommend. They take a while to take effect but the rewards are sifnificant so its well worth persevering. Benefits outweigh the costs

High quality fish oil.
My whole family have been taking these for a number of years now. They definitely have a positive effect on memory, joint health and general well being. They aren’t cheap but are a high quality fish oil that doesn’t leave a nasty fishy taste repeating on you all day. My son is hypermobile and they help with his joint pain. I have also noticed an improvement in concentration after taking them too. The results aren’t instant but after a few months we all noticed the benefits.

Best before March 2025
1st Dec 2024 (360 capsules) the Equazen were bought, I take two capsules a day & just noticed they were out of date in March 2025. Will they be okay & work properly as I’ve still been taking them & it’s May! I’m a bit annoyed because they are very expensive & think anyone buying from this seller should check the expiry date when you get your delivery. Anyway, This brand works for me.

Great value and easy to swallow
Been using these in my son now for a few months on my son with ADHD I have noticed a slight difference in his concentration. He is only 7yrs old and manages to swallow the tablets fine and has never once said they have a funny taste like he did with other omega 3 tablets.

hard to stomach in all forms...
We bought these because my son has been diagnosed as potentially having a form of ADHD and I have some characteristics too. I have taken them fairly regularly, with no visible difference to my functioning. My son who is 9 has problems swallowing the tablets so we tried the 'chews'. These are essentially the same as the tablets but the outer coating is slightly sweetened and flavoured - still the fishy oil inside. He managed these for a while, but only by biting the tablet and sucking out the oil, so might as well have done this with the tablets. The sweet outer-coating of the 'chews' is so tough, it was easier to spit it out! We have also tried the 'vanilla' flavoured liquid form which I found completely unpalatable, you are hit with an immediate fishy taste which no amount of vanilla can hide ( and there's not a lot of vanilla in there from what I could taste). If you need to take these tablets, you've just go to get on with it I guess, but none of the formulations are easy to take IMHO.
