I only have a patio not a garden, I have plants in containers, the squirrels kept digging in my flower containers so I placed a lot of these sticks in to deter them until the plants grew and became sturdy. sort of helped, squirrels do not give up easily and had to gradually add more and more sticks to keep the plants safe.

Great for crafting

These bamboo skewers are nice and smooth with a good sharp point. So they are excellent for savoury or sweet kebabs. I always soak my skewers in water for a bit before threading so they don't char as they are cooking.The skewers are slightly shorter than I'm used to but that really isn't a problem. In fact, my longer ones tend to get a bit unwieldy if I load them up too much. My only concern with theses is the price, I really think they are a bit expensive. I have to admit I usually buy 100 skewers for £1 in the cheap shops so I don't think I'm a convert. If you want the convenience of skewers arriving through the post, these are excellent. I'm happy to recommend them.
