Rubber Stair Treads - Included Stay-on Kit - Skid Resistant, Butterfly Stair Traction Tread Mats, Outdoor Non-Slip Step Mat- Set of 4, 30 x 10 Inches

I bought these treads to install on my disabled sister's outdoor steps to insure her safety after she walks fell down her steps a few months ago and fractured her wrist.I cleaned the steps, applied the tape and started nailing in the plastic-topped nails. Half of the plastic tops broke off and the nails bent. Even with some of the nail were in, the treads were sliding enough that I took them off and put them all back in the box to return. I did not feel they were safe for my sister.

I bough two sets of these - one set was completely missing the nails so they offered me a partial refund. The issue is these are so thin and flimsy. One of the customer photos shows a thick rounded, nice product but that's not the same as these. These things will not stay in place and every singe one has torn from minimal use (we rarely use our front steps and yet all of them have ripped free of the nails). Wish I had purchased something heaver and stronger.

These are great for deck steps, especially in the winter. My only advice is to make sure that you have laid down a heavy coat of water seal before installing these since they will hold moisture in the empty spaces of the design.

It really doesn't have great traction, therefore not quite serving the purpose entirely. I feel as if I need to use sandpaper on it to help it out. Also you have to tape the middle parts down as well as the sides bc its flimsy and moves too easily. I dont think this will work as needed in extreme weather such as snow or ice or even a heavy rain shower... If you are wanting something for that purpose go to home depot and get the real deal.

Pretty design, yes, but there's not much else to these. In fact, they arrived rolled up in such a tiny box, I didn't know it was them until opening it. They are VERY thin, which may be preferred by some, but not me. Within a few days of light use, they were already falling apart. I returned them and will look for something of better quality.
