I have dry, sensitive skin and have previously used (and loved) Pharmaceris Puri-Sensilium cleansing foam for allergic & sensitive skin. I was practically giddy after using it because it is so rare for me to use a foaming cleanser that doesn't leave my skin absolutely parched.The Puri-Sebostatic sebum cleansing foam for oily skin obviously isn't a perfect match for my dry skin type, but I do have sebum issues on my nose. I also was intrigued by the claim that this product is proven safe for sensitive and dehydrated skin. This seems counterintuitive, but this product appears to be formulated to minimize dryness as it cleanses. It is free of harsh sulfates and instead contains mild cleansing agents as well as humectants to help attract and retain moisture in the skin.Since it really is geared toward oilier skin than mine, I have been afraid to use this product for too many days in a row. However, I have used it many, many times and have experienced zero irritation. The foam has a slightly slippery feel, and it has left my face feeling simply soft and clean. However, keep in mind that not all sensitive skin is the same. I recommend patch-testing any product, especially if you struggle with sensitivity.While these products are a little pricey, I appreciate that these cleansers have been developed by dermatologists, pharmacists, and biologists and that they were not tested on animals. I, however, would recommend simpler names for these cleansers. Puri-Sensilium and Puri-Sebostatic are a little technical and not very straightforward.

I thought that this was a good make-up remover. I did have to go over my eyes (mascara and eyeliner twice), but it was gentle on my skin. It didn't irritate it or dry it our, either. It did leave my face feeling soft. The cost seems affordable.

Like the toner, I use it once a day, and it effectively manages oil without the drying effects of alcohol-based washes.[A NOTE ABOUT POTENTIAL IRRITANTS]While this cleanser is free of drying alcohols like ethanol, denatured alcohol, and isopropyl alcohol, it does contain a couple of ingredients that could potentially cause irritation:• FRAGRANCE: The cleanser contains fragrance. While my skin hasn't reacted negatively, fragrance is a known irritant for some.• COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE: This coconut-derived surfactant can sometimes cause reactions, especially at higher concentrations. I have the exact skin type that is recommended for this sebum-cleansing dermo-foam. I have sensitive, combination skin that errs on the side of oily in the t-zone. My favorite thing about this cleanser is how thick the foam is. A little goes a long way, which makes it a great value. One thorough pass over my face removed most of my foundation and eye makeup. However, it did dry my skin out. It also made me break out a bit when used in conjunction with my toner and moisturizer. I had the best success using it during a double cleanse routine where I used it after an initial jojoba oil "cleanse" and then applied a light moisturizer afterward. As mentioned in my headline, it's not my holy grail and I'm unlikely to purchase it again, but it may work better for someone with very oily skin.
