Finally found a sturdy cheese slicer
This is a better slicer than the one my mom had and it has the replaceable wires. Very sturdy. This will be a great cheese slicer instead of using a knife.

Cheese slicer
It works very well. But I did not receive any replacement wires with the purchase and the add looked like there would be some. Not happy about that

It seems like it will work good, nice and heavy and solid, and shiny, and has good tension!
I haven't actually cut any cheese with it yet, but it looks and feels really nice! It seems like it will work good, it is nice and heavy and solid, just as shiny as pictured, and has good tension in the wire! I'm not exactly sure if you need spare wires, but it was just as cheap as the ones that didn't, and that seemed like a plus. What I really like about it is how heavy and solid and shiny it is, it definitely looks like exactly what I was hoping for.

Okay Purchase
I was really looking for the older style cheese slices that are thinner and less bulky. This one is pretty clunky and I don't have great luck getting a thin slice of cheese. The cutting wire doesn't stay in place so I have to constantly reset it. I do like that they include a few replacement wires. That was a nice touch. Basically, my complaint is that things are made so cheaply these days and its hard to get good quality any more. Just the way of the world these days. I can't really recommend it, but you may have better luck.
