Fits perfectly in my telescope and is very sturdy. It’s not flimsy and it won’t fall over. It’s well made. Parts are metal and plastic. I love that you can also customize the piece accordingly g to your telescope and phone. Visibility works well and I would recommend it.

My first impression was, "This looks cool". My iPhone15 Pro fits in it snuggly, although phone installation can be awckward. I like the set screw to lock the clamp onto the eyepiece. Even then, the clampe doesn't seem very sturdy. I also had trouble with the platform getting in the way of getting the phone's camera lens close to the telescope lens, especially with a two inch eyepiece. I haven't been able to get a good picture, using my new Celestron Starsese Explorer DX 102AZ.

I just bought this to allow me to take photos through my small Celestron telescope. Previously, I had been trying to put my iPhone straight to the eyepiece with variable results (and scratching the eyepiece). The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I attached it to the eyepiece and then attached my phone, which was simple to do. Adjusting in the X,Y,Z planes was likewise simple to undertake. After literally a couple of minutes up came the moon on my iPhone!I bought the version with the remote photo capture, and true to its promise it helped eliminate camera shake which had been a serious problem for me. I could take videos and photos all without touching the telescope or the camera.My only (small) complaint was that it was a little difficult to place my iPhone in the cradle, as the extension that is moved out to accommodate different sized phones was tight.Overall, the unit worked extremely well and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend spending a little more and getting the remote; you won’t regret it.

Not really a precision piece of equipment. Too much play in the near/far mechanism. Needs to be tighter. I can get some nice shots but the mount needs to be tweaked with one hand while the other takes the picture.

Works nicely with 2 inch eyepieces on telescope. I bought mine in 2022, and there's no adapter for 1.25 eyepieces, so it won't grab onto those. Also, it can loosen up (in the adjuster rack gears) over time. For that there are lash adjuster screws, but are not mentioned in manual. I took some really nice pictures with it over the years, and my phone isless than $200.

This is another fine product from CELESTRON. The NexYZ DX universal smart phone holder is easy to attach to your eyepiece with 3 axis movement. Insert your smart phone and you are ready to photograph the night sky. I use this on the Celestron 4SE . This model includes the Bluetooth shutter release. No more wiggly photos.
