great vacuum so far !!!
So far...So good. It's a little loud but on the first run on my carpets and hardwood, it did great. The roller is easy to reach for cleaning. And it moves nicely.

I tested this against my rainbow vacuum so you don't have to
I read somewhere you should vacuum one day for each person/pet that lives in the home. Well, I've got six kids, 5 of them boys, two dogs and two cats. The kids are older and the dogs are all well house trained but one sheds a LOT. We decided to replace the carpet and I needed a vacuum that works well. We've had a Rainbow vacuum for a few years now and I wanted a second vacuum with a bit more convenience of use. Here's how they stack up:I vacuumed our front room, where we spend the most time and so does our shedding dog. I used the simplicity vacuum going over the carpet in all four directions. As far as I could tell, it maintained suction without any loss. As an upright, it lost out on a lot of the maneuverability compared to the Rainbow, and the cord was shorter so I had to stop a few times to free it from around furniture and move outlets. It was heavier and more of a struggle to push around when I was being that thorough. As an enjoyable experience, 3/10.Then I went over it again in all four directions with the Rainbow. Instantly it was a lot easier to push the vacuum but you have to hold down the trigger for suction and after a while my wrist was aching. In the day to day, this is not likely to be a problem but I was trying to vacuum as best I could so I could compare the two. When I was finished, the water was dark brown, indicating the Simplicity had missed some dirt. It was hard to gauge exactly how much because it was in the water, but I would say there was a significant enough amount of dirt missed. There was not a lot of dog hair floating around, so the Simplicity apparently got most of that no problem. As a vacuuming experience, I give it a 8/10. After the carpet comparison, it was very easy to use the Rainbow to dust and do the baseboards, edges, and blinds. The Simplicity vacuum has parts that might do that too but the recoil on the tube makes that a huge headache and is far more work that way.Overall with just vacuuming, the Rainbow was a better experience, with the added bonus of "cleaning" the air as well so I think it gets some of the dust and hair in the air that would normally settle after a while if using Simplicity. But after vacuuming with the rainbow, I then had to clean it. You have to dump the water somewhere; we empty it into a bucket with holes in the bottom so the water goes out but the debris stay in, throw away the debris and dump the water outside on the lawn or gutter. Then you have to clean the bin. I think it's so so gross!! I clean the bin with vinegar, hot water, and a little bit of dawn dish soap to make it sanitary and avoid smells. Obviously with the bag vacuum there's none of that. When the bag is full I just replace it with an empty one and the cleaning is limited to using a cleaning wipe to wipe it down once in a while.Over all, I think I'll use the Simplicity for day to day and the Rainbow, with it's much better abilities and more versatile attachments, for deep cleaning or when I have time to clean it after. We do use the carpet shampooer function and use it as an air filter with regularity and it does seem like it makes a difference with allergies in the house. The rainbow cost a butt load more, I'll tell you that, so it should be good for something. If you don't want to shell out that kind of money, the Simplicity does a fine job but it's more demanding physically.

Powerful!
So far, so good. I’ve had bad luck with vacuums in the past, but this one is great! Heavy and powerful! I have all wool rugs so the bag has to be replaced after vacuuming all the rugs in the house. I don’t mind because my rugs have never looked better!

Bad!
I purchased this in October 2024. Two months into owning it the suction died brought it in to get a repair done free of charge. This took about a month to get an OK for a repair and have it serviced. . Now it is broken again and I can’t get any support from the seller. No customer service phone number to call and they won’t respond to my emails! I wouldn’t bother buying it. It’s just a hassle.

Not a perfect vacuum by any means.
After all the glowing reviews, I was really looking forward to receiving this vacuum to replace my old heavy Shark LiftAway. It is lighter than the Shark but not a lightweight vacuum cleaner by any means. Pros: it does clean well and picks up plenty of dirt and dog hair. I like the long hose which does extend far enough with the attachment to reach the corners of my ceiling and tops of the drapes. I like the bag, which has a good capacity.. Cons: I think the design of the vacuum is poor because there is no place to easily lift the vacuum up a step or onto a thick carpet. It’s very awkward and I found myself grabbing the hose attachment handle (which would of course pull out of the housing) when I needed to lift up the vacuum. There is so much on the handle of the vacuum (cord keeper, bag container) that there’s no space to grab it if you need to lift it up. Also, the location of the bag release is awkward, because I would find myself grabbing it when I was trying to pick up the vacuum cleaner. The cord is not as long as I expected it to be based on the description. It would not reach from one end of my small single-story home to the other. I had to add a 9 foot extension cord to get the extra distance I needed to avoid constantly unplugging/plugging it in. Although I like the feature of having the cleaning attachments on the vacuum; I found the dusting brush almost useless because it is so short and stiff that it won’t really pick up anything. I would much prefer the dusting brushes I have had on previous vacuums that had longer softer Brushes that really worked. Also, it doesn’t have a simple fabric attachment, which I have had on every other vacuum I have ever owned. I considered returning the vacuum, but have decided to keep it because it does clean well, which I guess is the point of having a vacuum anyway!
