Wilton 237555 Cake Icing Smoother

I love it. Arrived so early than expected. Wrapped properly and in good condition. Very satisfied with the product.

Wife loves it. Oh well, I guess I'll just eat the cakes she makes with it

The handle grip in the middle is a nice enough idea but in practice becomes a little tedious if you want to do a long scrape - your buttercream will build up as you’re scraping and get lodged in the handle. The ends are also curved which is no good if you want bone straight edges from the base of your cake. Better (straight) ones out there. This was a waste of money for me.

What seemed like a much needed baking tool was actually more of a burden on my baking than initially thought.The metal scraping parts of the smoother are so small in length that you are practically scraping your fingers all over your icing while trying to smooth it off.It felt like a good idea buying this at first, but the more I used it, the more I realised how unnecessarily tedious it’s function was.Save your money, and buy a cheaper one instead.

Don't buy. A waste of money. The edges are curves, so you can't get a sharpe finish on thr bottom. The worst part is the grip. It's in the middle of the smoother so strains the fingers and gives hardly any area to smooth with. Will have to get another smoother. A complete waste

Bought this icing smoother as I was covering a 4 tier cake plus, one 9" cake with white chocolate ganache, and one 9" cake with milk chocolate ganache (first time ever of making so large a cake, first time at making white chocolate ganache)! Thought that it would be much better than struggling with a palette knife to smooth the tops/sides... ...however, I must need much more practise as I resorted to the good ol' palette knife...

Arrived on time and in good condition. Daughter could use it better than I could. Do not buy if you have difficulty with your hands i.e Arthritis
