Highly recommended for any Star Wars kid
My 7-yr-old can't put these books down! He first came home with Jeffrey Brown's "Darth Vader and Son" and "Little Princess" books from the library, and our whole family thought they were absolutely hilarious...lots of funny Star Wars jokes for the true fan. They're a mix of comic-book-style and full pages of text...quick reading and good storylines. (Our son seems to love reading and is at a 4th-grade level.) This is the opening trilogy - Books 1, 2, & 3. We've already bought books 4 & 5!

This is a very good book for kids of star wars parents
This is a very good book for kids of star wars parents; episode 4,5,6... Our family loves it. It is very funny and a graphic, drama on your child's daily life at school; just star wars style. Also, the drawings are good for kids draw and make their own graphic comics. It is an easy & quick read, and great media for parent/kid interaction. The series seems well suited for young readers.

Third Grade Boy Loves Them
My 8-year-old just received these for Christmas and so far he is really enjoying them! He even got up in the morning and started reading on his own, which is saying a lot because normally he goes straight for his electronics. The plots are cute and funny but also tackle real issues that are of interest to school-age kids, such as bullying, friendship, setting goals and fitting in.

We got this series for my 9 years old son for Christmas, he loved it and read the 3 books in less than a month. They are very easy to read, but I have to say my son used to struggle reading and finding motivation now I see him waiting for reading time to catch up with the story.

He's sad about that
This is a Star Wars book set, but it wasn't made from the original makers of Star Wars. It has a guy who's name is Roan, who is the star. He just finished primary school and he wants to go to Pilot Academy, but he doesn't go there. Instead he goes to Jedi Academy. He's not excited about that. He's sad about that. Then he meets some friends and he meets some bullies. He has a problem in each book, and it's the bullies. What I liked about the books is that there is light saber fighting, comics, that he meets some friends, and his life is very good. What I didn't like about the books is that his life is a little bad. I think that all kids who like Star Wars would like this book. And that's all of it.- Garrett (age 10)

Awaken the Force in your kids
My son is 7. We first bought these books when he was five. He loves the stories and we do too. The drawings are cute and the stories are entertaining and often have lessons, or talk about many social issues that kids face. We bought the boxed sets as birthday gifts for a few of his friends and they were a big hit. FYI - There is a journal that is not part of the set that I would recommend. My son was so happy to receive it for Christmas and has been writing in it daily.

My seven year old son really liked this trilogy
My seven year old son really liked this trilogy. He did read them fairly quickly. They arrived on a Friday and finished the last book on Sunday night. They're comic book style and also written as a journal that Rowan, the main character, keeps.

) I highly recommend this book set
I ordered this for my 9 year old son who hates to read. He loves that it is a mix of comic form, longer pages and pictures. To encourage reading we usually do a system of him reading a couple pages then I will read a page and doing that back and forth. Last night he grabs the book from me and says, "I want to ready it all." I couldn't believe it :) I highly recommend this book set. I hope they come out with more because I will be the first one to buy them!
