perfect for my 36in
These strings sound and feel great on my 36in Carl Thompson. Just as good as the Ernie Ball strings on all my other basses.

Just make sure you need the long scales otherwise it's a waste of your money
I love Ernie Ball products so naturally I'm biased and I'm going to leave a good review for the strings I've used Ernie Ball super slinkies for decades Ernie Ball doesn't make a bad string so if you're looking for this particular string I highly recommend it you will not be disappointed and the price is right

Good, general-purpose bass strings for any genre of music
I've played bass in bands for 50 years, so I've used a few different brands of strings in my life. These Ernie Ball strings are some of the best I've used. They're simultaneously bright and articulate, but their bottom-end is clear as well. I play in a classic rock cover band and we might play a country-flavored song and then turn around and play something by Journey or Metallica or a Motown tune, so my bass strings have to be adequate for each genre, as I don't have time to switch guitars during a set.The strings last a long time. I might change strings once a year, or even less (I frankly like the sound of a string after it's been played on for six months or longer) and from what I can hear, the stings' clarity doesn't diminish much over months of use. There are many brands of strings on the market, but I don't have the time to sift through all the offerings, so I want a string that provides me the consistent and versatile tone I need. These Ernie Ball strings meet my criteria, so I use them on every bass I have, which at current count is eleven.Buy a set; you won't be disappointed.

Get some!!!
I have always used Ernie Ball strings on my guitars for 47 years, and never had a bad set. I started playing bass 20 years ago and have a few in my collection now, so needed new bass strings for a gig. These were Super Long Scale so the winding for my B string went over the nut, and once I set my intonation, I was good to go. The price is fair, tone is amazing, and I am very pleased. I will be purchasing more soon. Thanks.

Doesn’t fit 37” B
DOES NOT fit SUPER-LONG scale basses. Tested on Spector NS Dimension 5 Multiscale with 37” B string - taper starts way too early. In over 20 years of super long scale basses being around, Ernie Ball still hasn’t figured out they need to add just half an inch of winding to their B string. Makes no sense. 38,5” from ball end to taper
