Love Coho
“So you keep your ocean, I'll take the Lake”When you are really into mood swings and there is absolutely a need for some fresh words... go and read a Coho book.. This is apparently Coho’s first book I guess but my fourth ... It’s the story of Layken and Will.. Layken has lost her father months back and has to shift to her new house leaving her friends... Will has lost both his parents and is the father image for his younger brother.. They meet and are drawn to each other.. Even go for a date.. So what happens when the person you fall in love with turns out to be your teacher???I completely loved this story and the way their emotions were described...Will is such a sweetheart that any girl would fall for but then you can’t love your teacher .. Can you? I loved how Coho was able to bring forward every relationship in the story.. there is love, friendship, mother daughter bond, brothers love, fathers care ❤️❤️❤️

I did not enjoy 'Slammed.' Not. At. All.
1.5 stars / 5 stars.Yes. You read that right, unlike many reviews here, I absolutely disliked this novel. I'll try not to spoil anything for the readers who've still not picked this book up; these are my opinions, and I really encourage older readers to read it despite this review or any other review - I think it's good to know the critical side of a highly popular book too; but go ahead and read it, you may like it, who knows.(The Book was in a good condition. This is solely for the novel.)Anyway.This was my first read by author Collen Hoover. This book. I loathe it. It was straight up immature, juvenile, unhealthy, illogical, manipulating its readers into thinking it's all cool under the "we're all human, we make mistakes" tag. Throwing in tragedies that may trigger many, as a side plot, under the pretence that it may make the protagonists' actions seem convincing.I can go on and on about the problematic areas in here, so in a nutshell (kinda):(Spoiler-y)• A dominating 'relationship'. If you can even call it that; where they potentially fall head over heals before we even hit the 4th chapter.• The male character, Will, making everything seem to be Lake's fault. Making her decisions. Deciding where their toxic camaraderie is to progress.• Beating the crap out of his student in a fit if "jealousy rage".• Indecisive characteristics at their best.• Using a terminal illness to peace everything out, ironically.• Not exploring much into other sidelines like Lake & Eddie's friendship, or Will and Lake's brothers; romance potentially toxic being the highlight.• just unrealistic. Honestly. One thing that made me give it 1.5 stars, was basically the slam poetry in it, which I really enjoyed. I fought the urge of skipping the pages to just read them, and skip the story honestly.Again, go ahead and read it if you please to.
