It was hard to track down this product, but I’m so glad we found it here! I purchased my original bottle from our local big box store, but hadn’t been able to find it again. So, I have been purchasing from Amazon ever since. I love the way it makes my car smell when I clean the leather seats using this!!

If you want your car's leather interior or your quality leather jacket to smell like it did when it was new, Gliptone is the only product to buy. I tried several others. Each had a sort of leather-like scent mixed with some sort of odd chemical scent... not what I wanted.If I could add a scent to this review that you could scratch-and-sniff you'd immediately see what I'm talking about. It smells like good new leather, period. This is the real deal. These comments also apply to Gliptone's leather cleaner and its hanging air fresheners (also available on Amazon).Application: very simple. A little goes a long way. Have a wet cloth and put about the same amount of conditioner as you would put toothpaste on your toothbrush. That should cover 1 or 2 seats of your car. Rub it in circular motions to cover all of the leather.You will not be disappointed. It will even effectively cover up the smell of cigarette smoke and other unwanted smells.

I have tried several brands but this one not only works well to keep the leather in shape, but it also retains and renews the "new leather" smell better than any other one I've tried. Friends remark on how my truck still smells new! I am not planning on using anything else

Gliptone leather conditioner is probably good at conditioning leather, but the same is true for a substantial number of oils and waxes, or lipids more generally. There is no mystery or secret to keeping leather from becoming dry and eventually cracking. One of the important properties that distinguishes better leather conditioners from cheap ones is the smell. Many people do in fact care about the smell, and with regards to smell, there are apparently some well-kept secrets. Perhaps there are actually products that you can buy that actually do smell like new leather, but I am starting to doubt it, and have just about come to the conclusion that leather is the only thing that really does smell like leather. This much is certain: Gliptone leather conditioner does not smell ANYTHING at all like leather. And this makes me a little angry, because the claim that it smells like leather is the main reason that I bought it. It actually has a funky sort of smell that I do not find pleasant at all, and that only by the wildest stretch of the imagination bears any resemblance at all to leather. I went ahead and applied it to one leather boat shoe, just to find out if the smell would change after it was applied to leather. It did not. I now have one shoe that smells like leather, and the other shoe of that pair just smells funky. I suppose I might as well go ahead and apply it to the other shoe, and after that I will likely toss it in the trash and try to forget that I wasted fifteen dollars on it. I take issue with all the other reviewers who claimed that it smells like leather and would give your car back that "new car smell". I have encountered a number of products that make this same claim, and with no exception these claims are patently false. I am just glad that I knew better than to go right ahead and wipe this stuff all over the leather interior of my car. That would have been a huge, huge mistake. I expect it would be a very long time before the funky smell would dissipate, and might never.I strongly advise against the purchase of this product. It is a cheap, inferior product, being passed off as a high-quality, niche product. The automotive care and cleaning industry is huge, and is rife with this kind of thing. There are lots of people running these kind of operations where they bottle inferior products and pass it off as a high-quality, niche product selling in low volume. Because of this experience, I will not ever buy anything that is made by Gliptone. Ever.

Used it for the leather seats in my truck

original lether scented conditioning cream. why not in stores anymore? LOVE IT. only other brand i remember was eagle one, cant find that either. chemical guys super expensive seemed to take over every chain store. and doesnt smell like leather. bring this one back again.

Be careful. This worked great on my vehicle interior. However it stained/removed coloring on a brown leather couch from Thomasville

This genuinely restored the new car smell to my one year old CR-V with leather seats. I will not go as far as to say it smells like leather, but then neither did the Honda last year when it was brand new. Until they invent something that replicates the smell of fine leather, this may be the best leather conditioner out there for upholstery.

i use this on my leather recliner chair it works and smells great. its made the leather super soft and is easy to use great stuff

The original and best leather treatment on the market. I’ve been using Gliptone products for years and they never disappoint. Don’t be put off by the high price compared to similar inferior products. It’s the old adage, but cheap buy twice. I run a 22 year old VW and you can see from the picture Gliptone keeps my trim in superb condition. The fresh leather smell is fantastic. I can’t rate this product enough.

I recently bought a 2 year old BMW 530e and it did not have that leather smell like I expected. I cleaned the leather and applied this without my wife knowing. Today she gets in the car and say wow! this smells like a brand new car. Very happy with the product...
