I highly recommend it.
I was told that application of kinesiology is complex and I need to attend a 3-day course followed by a certification exam. But I only need to know how to apply tape for my knees, not for commercial purposes. I bought this book and it served the purpose well. Clear pictures and explanations. I highly recommend it.

A very good resource to have for the modern athlete and trainer
I found this to be an interesting study book and DVD(make sure to get the copy that has the DVD with it) on the subject that is hard to find. I found the techniques to work on me and are very well described. The only hard thing thing finding the tape to use from time to time.

Absolute Recommend to Friends and Families - However Watching DVD (in the US) Will Require a Little Extra Effort
I've used kinesiology tape for some time now (to address issues resulting from various sports injuries). I ran across one of John Gibbons on taping for issues resulting from an ankle (inversion) sprain. Using that video, I modified my approach taping to JG's method which works quite well for me because it also supports my foot (medial cuneiform - cartilage damage) and arch. Owing to the effectiveness technique described in the video, I purchased this book with the accompanying CD.The book provides kinesio taping for various problems. I also appreciated his discussion of the origination and development of elastic tapes and techniques which are very different than strapping techniques which are too restrictive for my needs. The book is concise, easy to understand, and hits the mark. The DVD is a reflection of the book with companion videos - It's basic, clear, and effective. I would absolutely recommend this purchase to friends and family. The only reason this purchase doesn't get five stars is that the DVD is burned for use in UK (Region 2) and will not play on most DVDs and/or PCs designed for the US (Region 1). It's an easy problem to overcome (if you have a PC) and understand the problem, but I think that fact should have been mentioned in the product description. I live in the US and was aggravated until I remembered I had the same problem (years back) with a DVD my sister-in-law brought back from a trip to see her family in Australia (in yet another DVD region). If you have a PC, just use software that can read can read Region 2 DVDs (which is not typically because pre-loaded OEM software is only licensed for the Region 1 (US & Canada). I use VLC (free) which I also happen to use on my android handheld to listen to audiobooks. (I'm not trying to pitch VLC per se ... I'm just stating how I view my DVD from this book.)

Excellent book for taping reference!
This book for Kinesiology taping is an excellent reference source. It is very detailed with pictures & illustrations which are very easy to follow. I highly recommend this book for anyone who needs guidance when learning to use sports tape or a "seasoned" veteran that needs a refresher course.
