OtterBoxDefender Series Case for Motorola Droid Mini - Retail Packaging - Black

This is by far the best case I have had for any phone I have owned period! There is only one drawback to this case and it is the space between the screen protector and the phone screen it self. The other day I noticed some fine sand/dirt granules found their way in between this space and got stuck. I had to take the case apart to clean it out. That is the only complaint I have, I have this protecting a Samsung Mini Droid and it has lived up to all of the abuse I have read on reviews. I personally have dropped this out onto asphalt and watched it tumble a few times and looks still brand new! The screen protector itself for all those that read this, is not a self adhesive type it actually "floats" above the main phone screen which is glued to the frame of the case hence the space between the two of them! I have not done anything crazy like drop it from a skyscraper or anything, I am not brave enough to do that! I am sure there is videos out there of that. Love the case overall but I have 2 problems with it.1. The belt clip does not have a lock and too often when I squat down the phone and case fall off my belt. Has a lock to hold the clip open for putting it on your belt, never needed, but it does need a way to secure the clip closed.2. I am hard of hearing and even with my hearing aids on I often do not hear it ring. When the phone is in the case the speaker is against the plastic inner case and it muffles the ring so I drilled 2 holes in the case above the speaker. Helps but I normally only hear the annoying "Verison Wireless" announcement which precedes the ring.

This case works great. It has kept my husband from destroying his phone on multiple occasions. I'm not sure about how it repels water, because we haven't tested that, but it works great to protect the phone from the abuse of constantly being dropped. We would have had to replace my husbands phone several times if it wasn't for this product. The case itself holds up from abuse, as well as protecting the phone inside of it. All in all, this is a great product, and we have no complaints.

Bought this case in February and liked it when it came in and immediately put it on my phone and loved it. I have dropped my phone a few times in my driveway and my phone was totally fine not even a scratch but this past week it started tearing. The whole back of my case is completely torn from the area where the camera is all the way to the bottom. For this only to be a few months old and already tearing I rather spend my money on something that will last. Its only been dropped a handful of times so there really isn't a reason for this to be happening. I won't spend my money on another one.

I bought this case about a year ago, and it has done quite a good job for that year, but a year is about as long as it lasted. The only issue I had with this case is that dust gets in between the screen and the case, and then you have to take the case apart to clean it. It would get really really gross if you didn't clean it. Ideally, I would clean it about once a week. However, this case isn't really meant to be opened that frequently, and eventually the snap-fit clasps all broke, from the stress of being opened so quickly. these clasps are covered by the outer material, so it didn't change the function of the case, but it got annoying. However, it took ~8 months of weekly cleaning/hard living to break those clasps, so that's pretty good.My phone is 1 year old and in pristine condition due to this case. It's been dropped on it's screen, handed to small children, thrown into a back-pack, and, in general lived a rough life with little-to-no concern because the case took care of it. I've moved down to the commuter case, which is a little less protection, actually fits in my pocket, and doesn't have to be taken apart, but I don't really have regrets on buying the defender first.

Great, amazing, solid case. Only problem was that it has a plastic screen protector, which is glued into place, so it can't be removed without causing damage to the case. This screen protector is the biggest dust and dirt magnet. You'd open it up and clean it, and it would be full of dirt again in just a few hours.

I purchased this product for protection for my phone. It was priced approximately 1/2 of most of the cases. I was presently surprised to find the carrying case with it. Fits snugly. The only problem I have experienced is the clear plastic sheet built into the case. It makes the touch screen harder to activate. I will probably remove it and use an adhesive shield to cover my screen. Great buy! Very Satisfied!

Got this for the SO's phone, so I have not used it personally (*full disclosure*). However, he has a very physical job and has found that the phone remains secure in the belt clip all day and that the case itself protects the phone very well from all kinds of drops and general use. Would definitely recommend.
