Honestly, I'm not the market for Kick's products. I've never spent this much money on a personal care product (same as the conditioner, but the conditioner is THE BEST EVER). That said, this is good stuff. I've never tried anything that worked better, and it doesn't take much even though it's a tiny container. That said, the reason I'm not as excited about it as the conditioner is that the conditioner works as well or better than anything I can imagine. This is probably the best I've tried, but I can imagine something better (more hold), and it won't last like the conditioner, but again, I don't use it as much. If I tried this first I'm not sure I would have felt compelled to try their other products, but I tried the conditioner first and it was perfect and got me to try this and the shampoo.

Why is this a great product? First, it’s not sticky, it’s got a little fiber to it so it helps with thickness, and it’s consistent texture compared to American Crew Fiber cream. I was looking for a product that would hold my hair in place, but also be flexible. My hair is about 2 inches or so on top and this works great. It’s also the middle level of shine. Consistent with healthy looking hair. Try using a small amount first, around dime or smaller. You don’t need much. Maybe a little extra to use the sides and back.Now, the smell, it’s more fruity, maybe mango? it’s okay, not a deal breaker, however, I wish it was more aligned with the scent of the kick shampoo and conditioner. A fresh minty/tea tree scent for this paste would be absolutely perfect!

It is hard to find an actual "cream" for hair styling that isn't made of crap and doesn't dry your hair and scalp or leave any residue. This is everything I've been looking for, for years. The hold is good without being too strong or stiff feeling. Holds up pretty much all day, but if you exercise and sweat a lot in a warm place, then you'll want something with a stronger hold if you care that much. It doesn't have a chemical "shine" effect which I like. Not trying to go for the 'slick punk' look anyway.I keep one in the car too, and even when its freezing cold, the cream doesn't freeze or harden so it's usable. Nor does it melt into a watery liquid when its hot. Quite interesting and it makes it convenient. Will be buying these more and probably give out as gifts. They smell good too...like a masculine citrus mango...but who doesn't like mangoes? It does go away after a couple minutes and isn't noticeable. You only need to apply a tiny bit to make it work. Best of all, it is healthy and affordable.

After using a lot of hair creams and gels from other brands, I couldn't find one that didn't feel greasy or make my hair stiff. Then I stumbled upon Kick's Active Hair Styling Cream, and figured that I'd give it a try based upon the description. Am I happy that I did, upon opening the bottle I was greeted with a clean, fruity scent and a very pliable cream. I was able to style my hair with ease, and after letting the pomade set my hair did not feel greasy, stiff, or dried out.An added benefit is that this cream will actually hydrate and moisturize your hair, and washes out cleanly in a hot shower. I've found that if American Crew Forming Cream or similar styling creams work with your hair type (straight/wavy hair), this pomade will be ideal.Overall, I'm very pleased with Kick's innovation and highly recommend it for guys who are looking for an upgrade from their existing hair styling cream.

My hair is fine and wispy, and fairly thin on the top. Didn't look "full" at all, and the wind would blow it into a mess. A pretty small amount of this Kick Medium, with a touch of water blended in then rubbed through my hair, brushed then shaped a bit, works great. "Mussing up" my top leaves it looking more full, and it pretty much holds the shape I put into my hair, without looking like hairspray LOL. I looked at a lot of products and reviews, glad I chose this product.

I have hair around 5-6" long with the sides shaved (just enough to cover my ears if it's down); it's also thick and wavy. I started with the small amount rubbed in the palms as directed and worked my way up until it had a noticeable effect on my hair. The problem is, with such a small amount that comes in the container (about 2 oz filling one side of the container which was about half empty) I had to use quite a bit to get any amount of decent hold. This means this $13 container might only last around 2 weeks if I used it daily.I really enjoy the smell which is a slight grapefruit citrus scent (it took me a few days to pinpoint exactly what it reminded me of). Also, the hold only lasts about 3 hours for me before losing hold. For thin hair with absolutely no curl this stuff would probably be great, but it's not strong enough to control thick hair over a couple of inches. Again, I really enjoy the scent, it's fresh, unlike the musky cologne scent that is in a lot of pomades that try to cater to the bearded lumberjack crowd.So while I enjoy it, it doesn't work for me due to the short hold time and high amount of it I need for just a couple of hours of hold ( I can't imagine this creating an "All day hold" unless you use half of the container or have hair under 3"). After testing a few different brands and types of hair shaping products, this is probably my favorite smelling of all of them, but it needs to be much stiffer/waxier to really be worth the price per ounce.
