Big Apple got a brother. The comfort is the same, but the tread profile is slightly taller, giving better grip in mixed off-road conditions. Also available in a "normal" size of 40mm which isn't so "big", it's called Little Big Ben. Also available in the classic colors of creme, brown and grey.

Great
I threw these on my mountain bike for path use. It's nice to not sound like a swarm of bees anymore. Now I can hear when the real bees are coming. I've had a few goat heads (or sand Spurs, depending where you're from) in the rubber but nothing has punctured or caused a leak. The reflective sidewalks are nice as well. I'm really happy with these tires. Tough, quiet, smooth... met all of my criteria.

Great for an Electric Cargo Bike
April 30, 2020 update: I have over 500 miles on this bike now and it has held up great. Still rolling through glass in bike lanes with no punctures. Rear tire I showing slight wear but there is plenty of tread left. Keep in mind, my bike weighs 110 lbs and I regularly carry my 4 and 1 year old around the city. Dropped the tire pressure from 60psi to 40psi for a cushier ride.Original review: I have these installed on an electric Yuba Munda and have ridden them over 100 miles so far. They've gone over some broken glass, through pot holes, and on dirt road with no punctures. Low rolling resistance and enough tread to take on dirt paths but not enough to slow you down on the street. Make sure what you are receiving is the RaceGuard tires and not K Guard, which is what I first received. The RaceGuard tires have a picture resistant layer, are ebike rated, and have a reflective strips. Will most likely order these again when they wear out.

Want a tire that won't let loose at speed on your fast E-Bike? This is it.
My needs have evolved... I built a mountain bike up into an electrified monster that can hit about 36mph on the flats with a range of about 80 miles running around 30mph. Problem was, I built it for looks and used a nice looking creme colored Kenda beach bike style tire to go with a vintage look I was after. Looked great until my tires came out from under me on a damp morning heading to a ride and busted up my shoulder due to a lack of carbon black.OK, so I'll watch out for traction in the rain I thought... was going through tires with leaks with no debris found... then on a long fast ride, one of those pretty tires seperated the cords for about 6-8 inches causing the tube to come through the tire and explode on the pavement. Hmm... need something better.Did my research and found out that there are now speed rated tires for electrice bikes and this Schwalbe Big Ben is one of those. Rated for 50KPH/30mph for Europe, I figure it should work on American roads as well. I have only had to add air to the tires once in the last month or so and no flats, great traction, low rolling resistance, absolutely nothing to complain about except that it doesn't come in pretty colors that cause you to crash in the wet. I can live with that a lot easier than living with the injuries I suffered from what I percieved to be a cool looking tire.

These wheels provided less rolling resistance than my old mtb tires and are really comfortable.
My needs changed. I don't ride trails anymore and find myself on paths and street. These wheels provided less rolling resistance than my old mtb tires and are really comfortable.

Perfect for pavement riding on XC Mountain Bike
Wanted a faster tire for my mostly pavement riding, but one with a respectable width to stay true to my XC mountain bike. Swapped out my stock Maxxis ikon 27.5 x 2.2 for these 27.5 x 2.0 on my Giant Talon 4 2016. Huge difference: low noise and they roll extremely well on the pavement trail. They also handle off-roading into some grass retention ponds well enough at full inflation. I imagine when under inflated, these will be able to handle some of the light/flatter local Florida mountain bike trails, but will likely slap back on the Ikons for that as a safety precaution/for the thrills.I’d equate these to stock tires on a body on frame SUV that’s meant to go off the beaten path once in a while. Highly recommended and priced right.

Very thin and flimsy causes tire lateral movement that will pinch your tube
Bought this for a converted MTB e-bike as the description claims it's e-bike certified and also claim it is flat-resistant. Well, the tires arrived all bent and warped, which I figured wouldnt necessarily be a big deal once it was installed and inflated. Boy was I wrong, I got a flat on the first ride with these tires. I'd recommend a more rigid tire like a Continental.

Five Stars
Awesome tires for my cargo bike. Shockingly good offroad grip and useful balloon suspension for a rigid bike.

Great tyres
I’ve used big Apple tyres for many years and covered thousands of miles. I’ve chosen Big Ben for a little more grip, this time. And these tyres don’t disappoint. If you want a great tyre that gives you a softer grippy ride that roll beautifully get these for your MTB

The best tyres out there
These are excellent on road (fast rolling) and gravel/light trails (enough grip, comfort).

Great for fat guys on ebikes
Before I got this tube, I got TWELVE pinch flats in the course of 2 months from the state of my cities roads. After some searching on forums, it was because I was using a bad replacement tread from Canadian Tire that was only rated to 180lbs (I'm 275) and no way rated for a custom ebike or the speeds I reach (70kmh+).I can happily say that since I switched to this tread I haven't gotten a SINGLE flat, I've hit a LOT of potholes, lost spokes, messed up a rim, but my tire has stayed full and true. 55psi max compared to the 35psi max of the old tire makes the world of a difference for someone heavy hitting potholes at high speeds!Highly recommend getting this tire if you ride a custom ebike, it's only a matter of time until you hit a pothole and wish you had this one!
