Really good design. I like how the top and bottom sections click and lock into place. The folding handle is a BIG plus -- makes it much easier to store. Grinding adjustment is easy. You get a bit of a workout grinding beans, but I'm just doing enough for one cup pour overs at a time, so it's no biggie -- and it's like that with any hand grinder.Like I mentioned, I like the design and operation of this grinder so much, I bought a second one to use as a pepper grinder, replacing a brass Turkish coffee grinder I've used for that purpose for many years. The Maranello is so superior to it, there's no comparison.I can highly recommend this grinder.

I will warn, first off, this is a small grinder. If you are making coffee only for yourself, or just a couple of people, it will be perfect. This is a great size to go with the pour-over basket also sold by this company, or perhaps a small four cup drip machine, or a single shot espresso maker. It would not be good if you use a larger drip machine, or want to grind larger quantities at a time.However, its compact size and ease of use make it perfect for one or two person households. It would also be ideal for travel and camping, as its narrow profile and folding handle would allow it to store away in a corner of a travel bag without taking up much space.This grinder may be small, but it is definitely mighty! It is an excellent quality burr grinder, perfect for getting the most flavor from your beans. It is easy to use, and the unfolded crank handle gives you plenty of leverage to make grinding a quick and easy task. The adjustable grind means you can go from very fine to super coarse with a few quick turns.I ordered the grinder on a whim as an add-on to the pour-over basket that was my primary purchase. I am so glad I did! I no longer have to use the supermarket grinder, and I am able to grind each day's beans fresh that morning. In fact, I'm off to make today's first cup right now. Happy grinding!

I never have used a hand grinder before, but this thing is painfully slow. I purchased this with a discount because I bought the Maranello pour over stainless steel coffee dripper (which is awesome). The process is entirely dreadful- I use it to make 6 cups of coffee and it takes almost 4 minutes...i couldn't imagine using this for brewing a large pot. The adjustment for grind size is wonky and imprecise at best, and it feels like it has a crudely fashioned bushing that supports where the grinding arm connects to the top. I think this is a 'get what you pay for' product. I'll probably go back to buying ground coffee once my bag-o-beans is exhausted...it's just not worth grinding your own with this product.

At first I liked this because it grinds the coffee beans well, but after two uses the base got a crack in it along where it connects to the middle. Now after several uses it's completely cracked and will not stay together it's useless now. Didn't last long and I was careful using it.

I purchased this manual burr coffee grinder to be quiet in the morning so as not to disturb my neighbors. This unit is perfect in every way. Grinds beautifully, is beautiful and makes great coffee. Recommended it to a friend and he loves his as well. Thank you MaranelloCaffe for a superior product.

The stainless steel sleeve came off the first time I opened the grinder to remove grounds. The glue used was not very strong, but it still works. I like the compactness of it.

The grinder evenly distributed the coffee beans, a fresh cup of coffee every time.This product is very convenient.

It’s awkward and labor intensive just to grind 3 cups worth of coffee. Even for manual instead of powered, it’s poorly designed. I’m returning it. Pass.

Suspect that the plastic material connecting the grinding handle and the grinding axle easily deteriorated. I bought this in March 2021 and shelfed it until today (October). Tried for first time, only after a few grinds the handle just turned without connecting to the grinding axle. To throw it away.
