Nice lamp. Functions as expected. A new design take on an old concept. An incandescent bulb heat is wax in a water or oil fluid. It does put off heat but not as much as the ones I remember from the 70s. Good for winter.

I have had this volcano lamp for 6 weeks. It has not been used daily and already it no longer works. The “lava” gets stuck at the top of the lamp. You can’t shake it to get it down when it’s not warm bc the center is more narrow than the top. It got stuck up there even when the lamp was off, which really makes it useless. I’ve never seen a lava lamp do this. Extremely disappointed and I can’t return it bc it passed the 30 days return policy. It was for my son and he is really disappointed.

This is a solid lava lamp for its cost. Sometimes it seems like the lava gets stuck in places and is perhaps a little foggy, but it does a fairly good job nonetheless. It will take a couple hours to heat up enough so keep that in mind. Looks pretty good and it is bright.
