I have seen and used these magnetic wands before so I am not a stranger to them. I have used these only three times and the magnet in the orange wand keeps falling out. All of the wands are contained but the orange one, for some reason seems to have a door that keeps popping open and the magnet falls out. I work with young children and having a wand with a magnet balls out is not only a choking hazard but something that could send a child to the hospital If it was swallowed. I bought these because I have a group of seven children I work with. Not only can I not use the orange one but I can’t use any of them because I don’t have enough for all of the children now.

I have a new garbage disposal with no on & off switch. You just turn the plug to run it. While washing some small items I accidentally dropped 3 metal items down into the drain. I had an old magnetic bingo chip magnet under the sink & it retrieved them without the fear of reaching down & accidentally turning the disposer on or damaging it. I bought one of these for each of my new neighbors. They work great for rounding up nails, screws, etc. Definitely a keeper!

I am using these magnetic wands with magnetic chips as a tool for teaching and reinforcing phonemic awareness/phonics in my classroom. So far, my first grade students love using them and are engaged in the learning activity.

They work great, kids love to use them and clean up is a lot easier .

These are great for using magnetic anything but I use them for Bingo with magnetic bingo chips. very strong and work great
