However, they would have benefited from being heated for a longer period of time in order to get a softer consistency. My 4-year-old recently became obsessed with boba, so we were excited to try this item. It’s very easy to make; however, I almost burned my fingers handling the microwaved boba packet, so I recommend letting it cool for a few minutes before touching it. The provided cups and straw are a great touch; however, be mindful as they are quite flimsy—when I tried to put on the lid the first time, the cup bent in half and the contents spilled all over my kitchen.That said, the tea and boba taste great. This is a quick and easy option if you don’t have time to make the real thing. Just be careful with the cup, or you might end up with a sticky mess on your hands—and your counters and floors!

My personal favorite of the three tastes is the taro and brown sugar. The beverages are flavorful and creamy without being unduly sugary.
