Keeps smells under control!
We have been using this now for a couple of years. It is by far the best cat litter that we have found. It seems to keep the smells to a minimum so it lasts longer compared to others that I needed to empty to get rid of the cat pee pong... Whilst not perfect, it's pretty effective. Also it's easy to clear out and it doesn't seem to scatter far and wide. The stony grains are quite solid so the cats don't trail them about the house. We have one cat who will only use the litter tray year round, whilst the other prefers to go outdoors. We have tried wood pellets, as well as clumping cat litter. Neither as good. We get it on subscription with Amazon so it's even better value.

Good odor control and long lasting.
I like to buy the cheaper cat litter from the supermarket but my wife makes me buy this instead and I have to say, Catsan really is a superior product. It is a lovely eye pleasing white, unlike the grey/brown cheap stuff. But most importantly, it can go for days without the god awful stench of cat urine becoming all pervading. Obviously you have to scoop just as often for the brown bundles of joy but doors are well contained.I usually scoop out anything visible for around 4/5 days then chuck out the whole lot and replace. My cats also like catsan, as proven by the fact that they are no longer protesting by peeing on the carpet.Worth the extra money I'd say.

Superb performance litter
Reliable cat litter we have used it forever and I wouldn’t change brand. It lasts well and protects the needful! Keeps my little old ladies happy after 13 wonderful years. Highly recommend product. I prefer the larger bag the 20 one it’s the best value. Heavy however so the 10 bags are decent choices too. With a larger cat litter for 2 cats it’s best to buy this size we find.

Decent litter
My guys like a choice of litters. This type is preferred by half my cats. And this is a better price (currently), than my supermarket. It tracks a little, but most litters do. Not too much tracking though. No odours. A little dusty, but, again, a lot of litters are. Very easy to scoop and to clean the tray afterwards. Some litters adhere to the tray, this one doesn't.

Exceptionally Clean, Low-Odour Litter That Performs Best With Daily Maintenance
I’ve used CATSAN Hygiene Plus for several years across multiple cats and various litter box placements, and it remains one of the most consistent non-clumping litters on the market. It delivers exactly what it promises: high absorbency, excellent odour control, and a generally hygienic experience—even in small flats where ventilation is limited. For anyone seeking a low-maintenance, fragrance-free litter that locks in moisture quickly and keeps the tray looking tidy, this is a dependable choice. The material is a bright white granular blend made from quartz and lime—clean in appearance, and surprisingly effective at visually signalling when it needs changing. Liquids are absorbed almost instantly, and while this litter doesn’t clump, it dries out moisture quickly enough that the tray never becomes sludgy or overly damp. Even after multiple uses, the box remains fairly dry to the touch, which helps control bacterial growth and keeps odours neutralised longer than many clay-based or paper alternatives I’ve tested. It’s especially well-suited to kittens or cats recovering from surgery, as it’s soft underpaw and entirely free from fragrance or additives that could irritate sensitive skin or airways. From a daily-use perspective, this litter excels in freshness. The triple odour protection works silently and effectively—there’s no floral masking or perfume involved, but the box genuinely doesn’t smell, even after a full day. It handles ammonia very well, which makes it a solid pick for male cats or high-output breeds. In comparison to clumping litters, I find CATSAN gives a more neutral, less overwhelming scent profile in the home, which I appreciate—particularly when the tray is near the kitchen or living room. That said, the non-clumping format does mean full tray changes are required more frequently. While daily removal of solids is easy and clean due to the dry texture, once saturation is reached, you do need to dispose of the entire load rather than scooping selectively. Depending on your cat’s habits, this could mean replacing all 20L every 5–7 days for one cat, or every 3–4 days for multiple cats. It’s absorbent, yes, but it has a fixed capacity—after a certain point, it simply won’t take in more liquid. This makes it less economical than it first appears, especially in households with more than one litter tray.Tracking is minimal compared to clay or ultra-fine litters. The grains are dense and slightly larger, so they’re less likely to get stuck in paws or cling to fur. I’ve seen very little spread outside the tray, even with high-jumping or particularly fussy cats. That said, it’s not totally track-free—a soft mat under or in front of the tray still helps to catch stray bits and extend the cleanliness of your floors. The 20L bag is hefty—about 8kg—and easy to pour thanks to the built-in spout, but it does take some effort to handle if you’re not used to lifting bulk items. Storage is straightforward as long as you keep it sealed and in a dry place; the material doesn’t absorb humidity from the air and won’t clump in the bag, even when stored for months. I’d recommend decanting it into a smaller bin or scoopable container if mobility is a concern. On the downside, there’s no clumping to make daily spot-cleaning easier, and the white colour, while hygienic looking, can show stains quickly if your cat has digestive issues. Some cats also prefer finer textures, so if yours is used to soft clumping clay or wood pellet litter, a transition may require gradual mixing. Additionally, this isn’t the most eco-friendly option out there—unlike biodegradable wood or tofu litters, it doesn’t compost, and disposal is typically via general waste.CATSAN Hygiene Plus is ideal for those prioritising cleanliness, neutral odour control, and ease of maintenance in a one-cat household. It excels in low-smell, low-dust performance, particularly in urban homes or smaller spaces where freshness is vital. While it may not be the most cost-effective solution for multi-cat setups or those who prefer the convenience of clumping litters, it remains one of the best-performing non-clumping options currently available. For me, it continues to justify its place as the default base litter in my rotation.

Does what it says.
I don't think I need to review this. It's famous and everyone's go to. At the shops I said wow that's to expensive for me. I then noticed my litter that I buy loads from here a dupe went right up in price so I saw this and the amount it actually worked out cheaper the real thing is way better. So when Saw this and it was cheaper in the shops around me in my small town it went right into my basket. Texture great. Less littter needing changed. I noticed less smell coming from her hooded tray which needs a filter on the roof. I'm seriously considering the stainless steal ones on here that comes with everything a step that catches stray litter it was over 100 but less now like 89,, the ones without a hood are deep is cheaper ones that are not hooded and litter can litter be easily removed. Also it's meant to be more hygienic no micro plastics. Also cat liners are a saviour. If they do rip through it, it's still easier to clean as I move the trash bag near me. Sometimes she will rip through it however the wee stays in and you just need to throw out the rest that's came through my friend said I should re-use it but I don't. Each to their own. I will say something about this litter it's easy for tracking and getting the out number 2's. It does last a week if you do the poos if done daily. It's also 20L so I guess it works out cheaper in price in the dupe one I bought. Clumping I don't know as she wees in the same place at the front not like other cats who pee in dots all over.
